How To Operate A Rolling Greenhouse Made Of Plastic?

This video demonstrates how to install a roll-up side ventilation system on a greenhouse. The process involves placing the plastic roll on the roof of the greenhouse, using a ladder and a friend to ensure safety. The plastic is then rolled across the roof’s longest length and allowed to hang down the end walls on both sides. The video also provides tips on how to fasten the primary plastic to a roll bar and hand crank.

Greenhouse plastics come in various transparency levels, including clear, opaque, and white. Clear plastic allows the most light, making it suitable for most gardeners, while opaque plastic filters light. The essentials of installing the roll-up method include the greenhouse film, the roller bar and crank, and snap clamps.

To install the roll-up side, assemble a roll bar made of 1.315″ OD tube, place the greenhouse plastic over the greenhouse frame, secure it to the u-channels along the hip rails, and install a 3/4″ (1″ OD) guide rail for the manual.

To install roll-up sides, wrap at least 1″ of greenhouse film rolled and attached around ¾ EMT down the length of the greenhouse. This will help plants thrive in a greenhouse with poor air circulation and provide easy and efficient ventilation.
