Can Debi Lilies Be Planted Outside?

They can be grown indoors in pots, but it is important to ensure the pot is big enough for the roots and avoid direct sunlight. Lilies are easy to care for and can even thrive when planted indoors in pots.

When planting a potted lily outdoors, make sure the pot is big enough for the roots and avoid placing it in direct sunlight. Almost all lilies grow well in containers, although taller types require some support. Suitable species include Lilium auratum, L. formosanum, and L. longiflorum.

Outdoors, lilies are better suited for warmer regions of North America, where they can be planted in the garden after blooming has finished. Caring for lilies as a houseplant can be done in a sunny place without direct sunlight. Lilies in pots can also thrive indoors in a nice sunny place without direct sunlight.

A cyclamen, or white powder, could be some fungicide, insecticide, or pollen due to the profusion of flowers. Easter lilies produce white trumpet-shaped blooms in July if not forced. True lilies are easily grown in beds, containers, and the cutting garden. Plant lilies in an area where they receive sufficient sun, typically at least a half day of sunlight. If you live in an area with intense heat, trim off the brownish roots and plant them outside the pot.
