What Kind Of Pvc Tubing Is Needed To Construct A Greenhouse?

To build a PVC greenhouse, you will need PVC pipe and elbow connectors, PVC cement, 36″ rebar, and plastic to cover the greenhouse. Velcro can be used to secure a simple door of plastic sheeting or an old screen door. PVC pipe is generally cheap, with bulk purchases being even cheaper. Greenhouse plastic is also quite cheap, with one sheet costing about $60.

To build a cemented-PVC frame, you will need 7 pieces of 1.5″ thick PVC each 20 feet long. The width of the PVC pipe is crucial, as a 3/4-1″ PVC pipe may not be strong enough. To secure the PVC pipes, you will need to buy 6x 1.5 inch 7m PVC Pipe, 3x 1.5 inch 5m PVC Pipe, 12x 1.8 inch 0.5m PVC Pipe, and 1x 7x9m UV-resistant nylon Ties.

To install the rebar posts, you will need 11 pre-cut 3′ pieces at Home Depot. The greenhouse can be built using a heat-shrink film system, which requires 7 pieces of 1.5″ thick PVC each 20 feet long.
