set all of the repeaters to 4 ticks. get rid of the bottom redstone torch and add another redstone dust up into the top torch and replace the button with a switch, and it should work, but you gotta use the lever 2 times to get water to go out and back into the dispensers. worked perfect for me after the fix.
TO ANYBODY HAVING ISSUES WITH THE TORCHES: i had an issue where both my torches glowed and would cause the dispensers to spit out water, but not pick it up. if you’re having this issue, making sure to check the TOP TORCH and ensure that it’s not on the side of the block, but on the TOP OF IT. this was clearly stated in the article but i think the angle made it hard to tell and my brain decided that the torch was attached to the wall. i feel like a clown LOL
That would be more efficient with only 1 hopper. Put the hopper into the chest, and put water at the opposite end to wash the crops to the hopper. I did it this way on several old worlds. CUrrently looking to automate with a villager, so I’ll keep looking. Great no-villager design though. If you have an item with an enchantment, you can greatly increase your crop yield.

This is a helpful tutorial, I’ve used this, because my friends and I are going into different biomes and making a large city, but it seems my friends, are struggling, and with more people joining us it’s like a community, I’ve called our country Detrous, and now we’re providing everyone with wheat in return for resources.
Running into an issue where the water stops at the end of the second platform ive built this before and it worked and all of a sudden i cant get it passed the second platform i tried even doing dispensers across the entire back side to make more water flow but stil stops not inderstanding what i did wrong also tried the sides and they stopped in the same spot as well
I had problems with this and I figured out why. Before you understand what the problem is you have to know how this is supposed to work. The button is supposed to trigger the dispensers and to do that it need to be hooked up to red stone to carry the signal to the back. Redstone travels 7-8 blocks and then after that you need a repeater that carries the signal an additional 7-8. When placing the repeater the side that is facing you is the input side and thats where the redstone path should be leading into. So if you are facing the hoppers when placing the repeaters you are doing it wrong. You need to be almost parallel to the block it goes on and facing the dispensers in the back. To test that the signal is being received place a button right before the first repeater close to the hopper on one of the grass blocks and press it. It should light up if you did it right. Now put the button before the second repeater and repeat the process. If everything lights up then the button in the front of the build should work now. Also make sure you are placing the bottom redstone torch on the face of the bottom block.

Couple of obstacles when I made this: 1. Had a trouble with redstone torch which it supposed to be on top of block, but I didn’t realize I placed it on the side. 2. Had 3 creeper blown my farm in my farm, started crying and laughing at the same time because I spent hour built this 3. This is the most embarrassing part💀 I didn’t realize that i used dropper instead of dispenser because they look alike and I confused why my water bucket kept thrown out of those. this is a “nowhere” farm, cause if you’re in early game, you don’t have enough iron. If you are in mid game, you want it to be fully automatic, so it won’t waste your time. anyway, you can make it without machinery, by just making a waterfall. the additional thing about waterfall is, you can make it as long and as big as you want, and it’s viable even at start, when your resources are limited.
not sure how or why but using the same method here I can’t seem to make it work. repeaters and redstone torch seems to be in the same place but nothing seems to make it work. in fact the bottom torch flashes fast and burns out while the top one either goes lit or not… so I fixes it by placing some blocks and putting some redstone. I did place an additional repeater and now everything works.

Torches issue? So you need to know that torches can’t pass through cobblestone if that’s the block you chose to build with. Also you don’t need two torches just one because you can put Redstone dust on top of the first block. If you use a torch make sure the bottom one is attached to the side of the block and Make sure the Redstone torch is centered on top of that next block. Someone said, If you don’t want 7 hoppers just use a bucket of water at the one end leading into the hopper and that will save you materials, that’s true but you will have to adjust where your Redstone goes I think because it can pass under a hopper but not a solid block.
Nice job, I’m going to try this out. Is it possible to have a villager Farmer trapped in there to plant? I’m not smart enough to know or figure that out haha. Idk if this works on java but just using one bucket will get you infinite water or two if you don’t feel like refilling one bucket but anyway place them a block apart and in the middle block it’ll create a new water block that you can collect. Idk if that’s common knowledge it’s just something I’ve been doing for years and I don’t really see people using it
this is interesting, i am going to try it out. One thing is that the music while you were talking was too much. It would have been better with no music. especially when making articles about how to do something, no music is best. It is difficult to hear the person talk while there is music playing. Music in backgrounds is overly used now a days. Also make sure you are giving full detailed list of items needed and how much of such. Not everyone that plays minecraft knows what each item is or they may forget what the item is. So it is good to say what the item is and how many stacks or items needed. Showing how many in each direction was good to see, so keep that going. Just lose the music while you are trying to explain how to do something.
