How To Keep Peace With Lilies?

Peace lilies are easy-to-grow plants that thrive indoors and can be planted outdoors in warm, humid climates. To keep them happy and supplement humidity levels, give them a good misting every few days or keep them in a higher humidity room like the bathroom. Peace lilies need rich, well-draining potting mix or compost with a soil pH between 5.8 and 6.5. They are prone to rot in soggy or wet soil conditions but can be grown in bright spots out of direct sunlight.

To care for peace lilies, grow them in an all-purpose potting soil topped with sphagnum moss to retain water. Water the plant about once per week or when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry. Deadhead spent blooms and dust or wipe the leaves regularly to ensure they photosynthesise well. The best care for peace lilies is to water them attentively, adding enough water when (and only when) the potted soil is dry.

Peace lilies need consistently moist soil, but they don’t like to sit in standing water. Water the plant whenever the top inch of soil is dry, and spritz leaves with water throughout the summer to keep them hydrated. If your plant seems completely dry, water it about once a week.
