The story follows Gerald Carmody, an antisocial and widowed grandfather who finds new meaning when he falls in love with a woman staying at the hotel. The movie is available to rent, purchase, or stream via subscription on various platforms. Growing daisies can be challenging due to factors such as climate, soil, and experience level. However, the film offers a glimpse into the beauty and joy that can exist amidst sorrow and wrong.
Climate change, which is affecting the early flowering of daisies, is suggested as a possible cause. Bees fill their digestive systems with nectar to survive winter, but can only store a certain amount. The film also features Poinsettias, a classic December birth flower, which symbolizes good cheer and success. Many popular flowers and greens are available all year round, including focal flowers like Roses and Gerbera Daisies.
In summary, “Daisies in December” is a captivating drama-romance film that explores the themes of love, resilience, and the importance of embracing change in the world.

This brilliant tv movie from 1995 has never been released on DVD and illegal copies go for high prices, that’s why I wanted to …
A beautiful film that was made in St Ives Cornwall..and the Tregenna Castle Hotel in St Ives …I remember when this film was made in 1995 as I was walking through the streets (with my husband at that time) of St Ives and a film crew were there making this film… sadly I never got the chance to say hello to Mr Joss Ackland..but I love this movie …..Am streaming it to my TV via my Chromecast…….Very worth perusal…10/10…..
I just found this movie and love it. This is how movies (TV or large screen) used to be made. No foul language needed or graphic sex scenes. Just a sweet story done by two fantastic actors who had true chemistry. I was glad to see it provided here, but one important scene has not been included in this copy. The two main characters have a plot building scene on a tour bus that is missing. Freeve has the entire movie (except for the darn commercials you watch so much you can recite them by the 5th viewing)
In life, some high risks are worth taking. No guarantees, that’s why it’s a risk. I’m very glad they did. However it’ll end, at least they are together, so much in love, no precious time wasted, prepared, excited, HAPPY! It’s like betting in the lottery, you are at least already 50% a winner because you took the chance! I am an optimist, a glass half full romantic. Miracles do happen after all! 😄🙏👏🏻
What a positive, love filled movie this was. Im in hospital with excruciating shingles, brought on by no doubt by the chemotherapy I’ve been endiring for the last six months. One more treatment session (this thurs and friday) and this movie is my life now. Its all in Gods hands now, and I am looking forward to spending how ever many months or years that I have left here in peace with the fact that God does truely live amongst us. I have made this journey before and successfully completed it. I am positive the outcome will be a positive, healthy one. I just went to put my hand thru my hair and alas, its all falling out now. If loosing my hair is the outcome I couldnt care less. Its love, not your appearance that matters. This movie brought that to life for me😊. God bless us all❤
I laughed and I cried. What an extraordinary film. Just simply beautiful. It warmed my heart for I realised we all need and crave that kind of love. Not what they nowadays call love which involves just the physical but to love in a way that fills your whole being. After being on my own for 21 years now, I’m still hoping for my soulmate. And if it doesn’t, I won’t fill my life with less, then I’d rather stay alone until I am no more.
Charles you always know how to touch my heart Sweetheart I love you are you sick? I want to spend the rest of my life with you just to hold you will be what God wanted me to do please respond this one time 😢❤❤😢Where did you find this movie Creative Giant 🤗♥️l have been waiting for you all my life you can’t go because God told me you will come for me He will give you the strength to come our Father who is in Heaven will let the Holy Spirit on Earth to finish His Plan for our Life🙏🙌🏻
Jean Simmons was wonderful. She worked with some of the best ever, Frank Sinatra in Guys and Dolls; Burt Lancaster in Elmer Gantry; Robert Mitchum in Angel Face, The Grass is Greener; Charlton Heston in The Big Country; John Ireland, Tony Curtis, Kirk Douglas, Laurence Olivier, Charles Laughton in Spartacus; Victor Mature in The Robe; Stewart Granger in Queen Bess; and so forth. And she was always very good… and beautiful!

I had never heard of this film despite my long-live affair with movies. I decided to give it a try and watch it, frankly not expecting anything very special, but I was pleasantly surprised by its high standards and outstanding performances! Jean Simmons and Josh Ackland, both professionals to the core, have never been so convincing and brilliant.
Today I was boiling some water on the stove for pasta. I went to use the timer on the microwave so I wouldn’t forget that I was boiling water. About 1 minute later, I smelled something burning. It was an odd smell. That is because, instead pushing the kitchen timer button on the microwave, I pushed the microwave button to cook for 5 minutes with nothing in the microwave! By the grace of God, I was able to turn the microwave off before I destroyed it! Oops! Yes, it is still working but the smell lingers!
I’m 82. The older I get the more I fear how I will be treated. I’m physically and mentally fit but Society will pigeon hole me based on my age alone. Where has the societal trend that recognises a long life with experience and accumulated knowledge gone? I like that Ackland often took on age appropriate roles oin his later career and that he was also offered such roles! However, I’m 82 and, I hope, more compis mantis that this character!
‘Daisies In December’ 5 ☆☆☆☆☆’s out of 5 😉 A Hallmark Movie Drama! WOW!!! I had not seen before now. 👍 Old people falling in love in sickness as well as health? Why not? ‘Whales Of August’ was one such movie, ‘On Golden Pond’ etc., etc. & many more… all with different human factors & events, all apart of life (for good or bad). I’m not familiar with the leading lady in this… though I may have seen her in some older classics or B&W war movies. What brought me in here was the name Joss Actland. ♡’d Actland in this film. I’ve seen him in a few others also & enjoyed them, the one right before this was him as King Arthur in ‘A Kid In King Arthur’s Court’ (ft. Joss Actland, a very young Kate Winslet & a very young handsome Daniel Craig). If anyone on here knows of some old films on the YT where Joss Actland is like in his 20’s & 30’s please let me know. Thanky Thanky!
“This is a recording from tv. There are some gaps in the sound and some parts have been cut, like “what would you eat but rather not” and “never underestimate the power of prayer, Mr. Carmody.” Thanks, I’m not so desperate for a movie that I’ll put up with blurry visuals and sound dropouts. Bye-bye.
