What do stargazer lilies symbolize?
Stargazer lilies are a hybrid form of lilies, known for their bold and gorgeous pink color, which symbolizes financial success, abundance, wellness, and prosperity. These flowers can be used to express love, miss someone, send best wishes, or convey board members’ best wishes. They symbolize purity and innocence, and since their discovery in the late 20th century, they have evolved into a symbol of evolution. White stargazer lilies are potent symbols of transcending spiritual barriers and are celebrated on wedding anniversary celebrations.
They stand out due to their striking appearance and encourage people to stay true to themselves and never leave hope. Yellow or orange stargazer lilies can also be sent to friends to motivate them to stay positive and have faith. The flower brings life to homes, combining the perfect features of oriental and Asian lilies, and sends messages of higher aspiration and perfection.
What is the difference between a stargazer and a lily?
Stargazer lilies are Oriental lilies native to Japan, known for their exotic beauty and intense fragrance. They typically bloom late in the summer or early fall, with upward-facing flowers. Stargazer lilies take all the best features of Oriental lilies and push the envelope even further. They are popular due to their incredible beauty and easy-to-grow features, making them an ideal choice for those who appreciate the beauty and ease of cultivation.
What did Jesus mean by lilies?
The phrase “Consider the lilies of the field” is attributed to Jesus Christ during his Sermon on the Mount, where he advised his followers not to worry about material needs like clothing and food, as God would provide for them. This quote is quoted by Chrisitans, who advise others to trust in God and focus on faith instead of being anxious about things. The quote first appears in Matthew 6:28 and later in Luke 12:27.
What is the myth about lilies?
Lilies, native to the Northern Hemisphere, have been associated with purity and renewal in ancient Greek mythology and the Virgin Mary in Christian iconography. Their long-standing survival is due to their unique reproductive strategy, which involves cross-pollination with pollinators like bees and butterflies. The intricate shapes, vibrant colors, and scents of lily flowers have evolved to ensure successful reproduction, contributing to their resilience and diversity.
The genus Lilium has around 100+ species, each with unique characteristics such as ease of growing, bloom time, and sunlight requirements. Their intricate shapes, vibrant colors, and alluring scents contribute to their resilience and diversity.
What does the starfighter lily symbolize?
Stargazer lilies are emotional powerhouses, with their vibrant petals and intoxicating fragrance expressing deep-seated emotions. Pink Stargazers are drenched in symbolism, often representing prosperity, abundance, admiration, and love. They are popular for weddings, representing purity, love, and the blossoming of a new union. They are also used in commemorations to convey sympathy or remembrance. However, they are toxic to cats, so pet owners should display them with caution.
To coax Stargazer lilies into flowering, they need a solid 6-8 hours of sunlight, resembling solar panels. Partial shade in the afternoon helps avoid a sunburnt meltdown. Overall, Stargazer lilies are a versatile and meaningful addition to any floral arrangement.
What is the meaning of the stargazing flower?
Stargazer lilies are renowned for their dramatic and impressive blooms, which are used globally to express prosperity, abundance, wellness, and financial success. They are often used to send best wishes or profess love to others. Couples celebrating their 30th anniversaries often bring these flowers, as their striking appearance stands out. Other colors of stargazers also mean hope, truthfulness, and friendship.
The way the lilies look up towards the sky conveys a series of meanings, such as the unlimited possibilities in pursuing passion and dreams, and the importance of persistence and hope in achieving success. Keeping these flowers on someone’s side can brighten their day and bring hope and success.
What is the story of the stargazer lily?
Stargazer lilies, often mistakenly called “Rubrum” lilies, were created in 1974 by California lily breeder Leslie Woodriff to overcome the downward appearance of Rubrums, which were a predecessor to commercial lilies. The Stargazer lily’s blooms face towards the sky, and while most consumers love the appearance and fragrance of these Oriental lilies, a small minority dislikes the fragrance. In the early 21st century, Sun Valley Farms in California developed a pink lily similar to the Stargazer with no fragrance, but discontinued production due to lack of demand. The Stargazer lily and other Oriental lilies are popular among commercial florists.
What is the symbolism behind lily?
Lilies are believed to symbolize femininity and fertility, originating from the Greek gods Hera and Zeus. Zeus wanted Hera to nurse his son Hercules, but Hera was not in favor of this idea. Zeus sneakily placed Hercules next to her while she was sleeping, and when she woke, drops of her milk fell to the floor, from which the lily flower grew.
The color of a lily also signifies something different, depending on the chosen color. For example, bubblegum pink hues symbolize admiration and femininity, while yellow shades are happiness-inducing. Pink lilies are perfect for gifting to female friends as a surprise or for upcoming birthdays. The significance of these flowers lies in their ability to symbolize various aspects of life, including love, admiration, and fertility.
What is the hidden meaning of lilies?
Lilies are imbued with a plethora of symbolic meanings, including those of purity, renewal, and transience. In Christianity, the Madonna Lily is a symbol of the purity of the Virgin Mary. The lily, Italy’s national flower, is a symbol of unity and peace, as evidenced by its prominent display on the Italian national emblem.
Where do stargazer lilies live?
Stargazer’s lily is a versatile plant that thrives in full sun in the Midwest but can tolerate partial shade. It can be grown in any type of well-drained soil, including heavy clay. Bulbs should be planted in early spring or fall, and mulched to insulate the soil and delay the emergence of frost-tender shoots. Established bulbs don’t need winter protection, but a winter mulch applied after the soil freezes may be beneficial in northern areas without reliable snow cover.
A light mulch of shredded leaves, compost, or bark can prevent weeds from germinating and keep roots cool during the growing season. Fertilizing lightly in early spring is recommended. This lily generally has few pests, but voles, rabbits, aphids, and deer may feed on the bulbs. Fall is the best time to move or divide clumps, and handle fleshy bulbs carefully and replant at the same depth as soon as possible. The hybrid is easy to propagate from scales, unlike many other difficult-to-propagate oriental lilies.
Where do lilies like to grow?
Lilies thrive in part-shade environments with well-draining, organic matter soil. They require regular moisture during the growing season but will rot if moisture levels are too high after blooming. Lilies grow as single or multiple unbranched stems from the bulb, with flowers held in clusters at the top or borne along the stem. They come in various flower colors and can be trumpet-shaped, recurved, or open. Lilies are grown for their flowers, making them ideal for growing in between fuller perennials and shrubs.
Staking is necessary for Oriental hybrids with large heavy blooms and 3-8 foot tall stems, while Asiatic hybrids form self-supporting clumps over time. Growing lilies through other shrubs provides a natural framework for the plant while hiding its legs.

Chapter II of our Stargazer Trilogy Thanks for watching y’all! If you liked this, then you’ll love seeing us live …
My daughter just turned 12. She’s grown up listening to HF (her first-and still- favorite group.) She’s even been to a couple concerts. When we play their albums on road trips, the whole family sings together. I’m grateful that she’s been able to love a group of musicians worth her admiration – as there are so many out there who are not.
I can listen to Dimash when stressed, and he calms me right down. Today, I put him on because I am dealing with an 18 year old dog that is dying. I am not allowed to leave his sight. He cries and hyperventilate whenever he can’t see me. When he heard Dimash he calmed down within minutes. I was astounded! Thank you for helping me and him.
I’ve seen this, I don’t know how many times on Patreon,, and every time we get to the last second and everything turns out to be yet another dream, it gives me a jolt. And how often have I heard the song, such a favourite with fans? but with the article it seems more heartfelt. Of course there are multiple signs that this is not real – those lilies that grow as no lilies ever did and can be picked with the gentles of pulls, for one thing. Amberly is stunningly mysterious and Austin is in 100 subtle ways aware that not all is as it seems. Amberly’s casual acceptance of a bunch of her favourite flowers, the way she changes from tender to playful for no reason, and what’s that business with the glass? The director, Sasha Levinson,, clearly understands that the midpoint of a trilogy can’t just be more of he same, but at the same time can’t look ahead too far or fast. The suspense continues.
Love this song even more since the arrival of my second beautiful granddaughter Lily. I never thought I could love anyone more than my children until Lily and her big sister Olivia Rose came into our lives. I may not have had the best start in life, but God has trusted me with 3 gorgeous sons, 1 amazing daughter and two wonderful granddaughters. I can’t thank him enough for his blessings and listening to these wonderful songs reminds me of that
Stargazer lilies are my favorite flowers in the whole wide world, I even have a bouquet of them tattooed on my right shoulder…my late husband always sent them to me for any reason or no reason at all. They will forever remind me of the love of my life, and this beautiful song is simply an extension of love that lives on though he is waiting on the other side. I bet when I see him again he’ll be holding the most beautiful bouquet for me! Thank you for bringing love to life in your music. It means the world to us!
Austin Brown I just heard this song. It brought tears to my eyes because I know how you feel about Kimberly because that’s how I felt about my husband. Even though he passed away years ago I still have those feelings towards him. Thank you for a very beautiful song that touched my heart so much. God Bless you, Kimberly and Home Free.❤😢🙏🙏
Absolutely LOVE how well a story can be told/portrayed; HF, you guys DO that so well!!! TBH, it’s been said before by many, the ability to accentuate “through” sound or even completely change the “feeling” — it’s not only through wording but arrangement and delivery!!! Music used to have that — And HOME FREE ……. you ARE AWARDED with absolute BRILLIANCE of BRINGING BACK what is SUPPOSED TO BE!!! You’ve done this across all genres to date!!! I’ve witnessed this for 8yrs and can’t see it ending anytime soon (by choice). Be Safe
Being in Idaho Stargazer Lillies are really hard to find, so I started growing my own a few years ago. I really love their beauty and fragrance. This song is so beautiful Austin. I really love the look you give Amberly at the very end of this song. What a beautiful couple you two make.. Thanks HomeFree for another spectacular song . 🎵 Love you guys.❤😊
Home Free just continues to make me smile with their music! Always so heartfelt and soulful. I saw them live last summer and they performed this song, I am so glad to see the article now with the song. They are wonderful live in concert, if you ever have a chance to go see them live you definitely want to do that! Thank you to HF for another beautiful song to enjoy!
Austin, and all of Home Free, I just watched this article for the first time. Stargazer lillies were my Mama’s favorite flowers, and they have such a wonderful fragrance. In 1999, at the age of 66, she graduated on Home…FREE (See what I did there 😉). I insisted on being the one to order the casket arrangement… it was filled with many Stargazer lillies. So, I may just have a new favorite HF song. Who wrote this? Be blessed!
What a heartwarming love song. Austin managed to put to music the feelings in his heart for Amberly, which is a rare and beautiful thing. Congratulations to the two of you for finding each other and your life changing love. And thanks to the amazing talent of Home Free we all get to enjoy this incredible trilogy of love. Home Free’s talent is unsurpassed. Thank you for sharing it with us!💕
II just love the 2 parts I’ve gotten to see of this trilogy. They are such beautiful, spiritual songs with – needless to say – perfect leads, harmonies and beatboxing. Amberly is just ethereal dancing in the moonlit fog in the first chapter and beautiful in this one. Austin’s expression while waiting for her to answer the door is so poignant and the other men in Home Free all look so happy! I can’t wait for Chapter 3!
What a great song where you just feel the love from Austin to Amberley.. Super sung with the great harmonies, bass and beatboxing. Stargazer Lillies are such beautiful flowers just like Amberley and Austin’s relationship.💖 Austin hold on to your “flower” Amberley, because you’ve got a treasure there. Hallelujah!!! ❤❤❤ Beautiful article that makes me very curious about chapter 3. I am so happy that I was able to get a ticket for your concert on September 27 in Utrecht Netherlands. Due to circumstances I can’t become a Patreon, but I am a real Home Fry.
OMG!!! I just watched Ring of Fire and now this… YOU GUYS HAVE CHANGED SO MUCH!!! I mean in a good way! But I suddenly noticed such a big difference. I never really commented of a recent post like this so I just want to let you guys know that I’m one of your BIGGEST fans. Keep up the great work!💕❤🔥-Chloe
I got to see you guys sing this on opening night of your tour, back in October. When you introduced this song, I’m not sure you ever said the song title, just that it was written by Austin. I was keeping a list of all the songs you sang, I put this on my list as Austin’s song Girl I love you/Hallelujah, and I was really surprised by the actual name. Austin you wrote a great song!!!
Well, I learned something new.. I learned that these flowers had a name, Not just annoying plants that are in my garden..lol ( not a flower person here) .. But the Song, the song was amazing and I don’t do romantic songs in any way shape or form ( to be fair, I dont do romance in any form), but your voices were incredible. I see your tour guide for the next 12 months, Would love it if you ever got to the bottom of the world, and came to New Zealand, bring your partners, let them see Our wee country while you entertain us…. Just a thought
Absolutely beautiful visuals! Excellent vocals! True emotions expressed in such a profound way. I appreciated the cuts to the concert footage, too. It brought back the thrill of singing along with y’all in three part harmony on the chorus. Everybody needs the experience of a live concert. The article is perfection, but live is, well, indescribable!
Video makes me angry, darn deer LOVE my stargazers! Don’t see em much till lilies start to pop and boom, they’re gone! Oh, great article! I see Rupp moving his lips, is there a article of him actually singing? I know he can, just don’t hear him. Would be cool if he had a solo singing. We all know he’s great doing what he does. Thanks guys. Nice shoes Rob!
I know you won’t mind but I I took your car when you were sleeping Got it cleaned and filled it up A little coffee to drink in the morning On the front steps while the sun is comin’ up I don’t know how else to say it You’re rare and beautiful The way you see the world and teach me things that I should know And I know it might sound silly But Stargazer Lilies are hard to find, too If I ever had a doubt, it’s all gone now Girl I love ya, Hallelujah All of my dreams and all my prayers came true Yeah girl I love ya and its Hallelujah It’s a miracle that I’m with you I hate to say it but I lost faith there for a while Then you showed up at my door and my heart began to smile again Cannot pretend you’re anything but perfect to me Yeah God gave me you and now I believe Girl I love ya, Hallelujah All of my dreams and all my prayers came true Yeah girl I love ya and its Hallelujah It’s a miracle that I’m with you Now I wonder What else is there that I don’t see coming Be my lover Cuz there is no one else that I am running to Yeah I’m running Girl I love ya Hallelujah All of my dreams and all my prayers came true Yeah girl I love ya and its Hallelujah It’s a miracle that I’m with you Girl I love ya Hallelujah All of my dreams and all my prayers came true Yeah girl I love ya and its Hallelujah It’s a miracle that I’m with you It’s a miracle that I’m with you
I Have A Request, In your best chance, to hear you guys sing a song that is not in your website. The song is : Wanting Memories. I heard it from the Group called: Cantus consisting a group of 8 or 9 men. If you need to hear them sing it, it’s on the NPR Radio website and they do 3 songs. I will appreciate it very much if you guys made a article using your wonderful voices. Thanks, Terry
Can I make a request? I figure it’ll get ignored but if it gets even one or two people to think… Can we please just NOT with the “it’s about time you guys got married!” or “when are you going to propose already?” etc. etc.? It seems like everyone always wants to pile on every article, especially the romantic ones, and say it. And it’s just rude AF. It’s not even cool when your own parents do the “when are you getting married already?” or “when are you going to give me grandbabies?” It’s a really damn personal decision. For all we know, one or both of them don’t really want to be married, ever. Or maybe they’re waiting for a certain time. Or maybe they have plans that they’re just not sharing with us. Or hell, maybe one of them is a super secret spy and going into legalities will blow their cover wide open. It’s especially crappy to be honest when people are acting like all Austin has to do is just propose already and boom, they’re as good as married. It assumes that Amberly isn’t her own person and might not have her own goals, and that the single and solitary reason they’re not married/engaged is that Austin is dragging his feet. What are y’all even trying to do here? If for whatever reason they are putting off marriage, do you really think it’s healthy for the single reason they get married to be because a bunch of random internet strangers are telling them to? This is their own personal decision and their own personal lives, and we need to just butt out of hugely important decisions like these.
