Ways To Dilute Cologne?

Diluting perfume is a crucial step in maintaining its scent and longevity. To do this, mix two tablespoons of distilled water and five drops of glycerin in a spray bottle and slowly swirl the mixture in. This will create your signature cologne. If you prefer, you can also use a travel atomizer to mix distilled water with the perfume oil, but it’s important to shake it up before spraying each time to avoid separation.

Additionally, water can dilute perfume by reducing its concentration, affecting its scent and longevity. Water dilutes essential oils, which are the primary components of perfume. To keep perfume fresh, store it in a dark, dry place and avoid adding water to dilute it. Applying perfume right before breakfast can help it last beyond lunchtime. Heat and humidity can break down perfume faster, causing the scent to change or fade more quickly when worn.

Store your fragrance in a cool, dry place and avoid adding water. Diluting perfume with distilled water can be done using a small squirt bottle, filling about 1/4 with cologne and the rest with water. If the fragrance is too strong for you, you can spray some into a jar of unscented lotion and mix it up until it’s the appropriate strength for you.

If you don’t care about the distilled water, you can use a decorative bead to raise the fluid level without dilution. If you don’t care about the distilled water, you can use a different method.

📹 Make Your Cologne Last Longer (Why Your Fragrance Fades Fast!)

How to make your fragrances last longer? In this video, I answer this question and why you should spray it on this area.

How do you dilute cologne smell?

Rub alcohol can be used to dilute an overbearing smell by dabbing a cotton ball in it. This will instantly tone down the fragrance and prevent it from entering a room. Non-scented lotion or baby wipes can also be used to moderate the smell. The type of fragrance used also plays a role in determining the application amount. Perfumes are the heaviest scents, while eau de colognes are the lightest. Following these guidelines can help prolong the lifespan of your perfume.

How do you neutralize too much cologne?

Rubbing alcohol represents a straightforward and economical method for the removal of perfumes from garments, fabrics, and linens. To utilize this method, one should soak a cotton ball with a minimal quantity of rubbing alcohol and then apply or wipe the affected area. The product can be procured from a variety of retail outlets, including drugstores and pharmacies, or obtained directly from a sales associate. It is advisable to conduct a test on an inconspicuous area to ascertain that the alcohol does not cause any damage to the fabric.

What neutralizes fragrance?

Glen Anderson, the executive director of innovation at Avon, posits that alcohol may be an effective means of neutralizing perfume. He proposes the use of a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol, which can be dabbed on the affected area to rapidly dilute the scent. This method is an effective means of removing excess perfume from a vehicle, as it can be a rapid and efficacious solution.

How to get rid of strong cologne smell in room?

Baking soda, activated charcoal, and coffee grounds are effective methods to neutralize and remove lingering perfume odors. Baking soda can absorb odors by placing bowls of it around the room. Activated charcoal, known for its powerful absorption properties, can be placed in open containers to soak up smells. Coffee grounds not only neutralize odors but also add a pleasant, subtle coffee scent. Perfumes, made up of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), essential oils, and alcohols, can adhere to fabrics, furniture, and other surfaces, making the odor persist. To clear the air, consider using belayered perfume collections and understanding the components of perfumes.

How to make fragrance water soluble?

The fragrance should then be added to the surfactant and mixed together. The addition of water will result in a solution of 10 parts mix and 90 parts water. The mixture should be agitated until it is transparent, after which 10 parts of the mixture and 90 parts of water should be added.

How to dilute perfume without alcohol?

Di Propylene Glycol is a solvent used in the fragrance industry to dilute insoluble materials, but it is not suitable for natural perfumery due to its petrochemical derived nature. Benzyl benzoate and Benzyl alcohol are sometimes used in fragrance compounds to blend hard-to-work with materials, but they are aromachemicals and restrict their use for natural perfumers. If you are creating a fragrance blend with naturals and don’t want to use these materials, you should compound your fragrance neatly.

Start with more robust materials that need to be heated and add the rest to increase volatility once removed from heat. For a visual guide on using a scale and diluting perfumery materials, watch the video masterclass with the Artisan Perfumery Mastermind group.

Can cologne be diluted?

Can cologne be diluted?

Diluting men’s cologne is possible, regardless of brand or concentration, but some colognes may be more sensitive to dilution. It’s best to start with a small batch and test the dilution ratio before applying it to your skin. Diluted cologne typically lasts 4-6 hours, with longer longevity possible with a more emollient carrier liquid. It’s essential to reapply the diluted cologne throughout the day to maintain the desired fragrance level.

Essential oils can be used as a carrier liquid for diluting men’s cologne, but it’s crucial to choose unscented or complementary oils to avoid creating an overpowering or conflicting fragrance. Some good options include jojoba oil, fractionated coconut oil, or sweet almond oil.

Can I add water to cologne?

The addition of water to alcohol can reduce its drying effect on the skin, making perfumes more pleasant to spray. Water also retards alcohol evaporation, providing greater persistence of top notes, which are often sold by their aroma. A perfume with water appears stronger to the nose, as it helps release the scent from the oil while pure alcohol holds it back. This balance can result in less fragrance producing the desired “smell strength” when using lower proof alcohol and higher water content, which may explain why some people find dollar store fragrances more acceptable or even nicer than their more expensive originals.

How do you reduce the smell of cologne?

To remove perfume from your skin, use rubbing alcohol or vodka to dilute the formula. Mix 1/4 water with 1/4 ml white wine vinegar or lemon juice to wipe the perfume off your skin. These acid-reducing kitchen essentials quickly neutralize the scent by breaking up the perfume molecules. Baking soda is another excellent neutralizer of unwanted odors. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with a few drops of water and use this paste to rub the fragrance off.

Baking soda can also be used to remove perfume from clothing by adding a few teaspoons in water and letting it soak up the solution. These methods can help you remove overpowering perfume clouds and leave your skin feeling fresh and headache-free.

How to wash off cologne?

A solution of white vinegar and oil can be prepared by mixing the two ingredients together. This solution can then be applied to the skin and left to act for a period of time before being washed off with soap and water. This process is an effective method for removing perfume from the skin.

  • My family used to own a franchise of Parfum stores in the Netherlands so I grew up with Parfums. My golden tip: Spray a couple of sprays in your hair. That way it won’t wear off by sweating that easily and it won’t be ruining your clothes. It’s also less vulnerable to body acids, it tends to keep the transition from note to note cleaner and the smell closer to it’s originally intended smell. Also a spot where almost nobody sprays but in fact is one of the best spots: the top of your hand! It won’t fade as fast by sweating and everytime you swing your hands by giving somebody a hug or hand you automatically wave your parfum towards them. It’s a brilliant spot for the connoisseurs. Another insiders tip: If you want to test if a fragrance will last long before buying it, spray some on the underside of your wrist. It’s the best place to test for 3 reasons: 1) It’s a warm place because your arteries and also because your sweater or shirt keeps rubbing against it so the transition will be faster than normal. 2) All your main arteries run through your wrist which makes it pulse. Pulse combined with warmth spreading the aroma of your parfum quite effectively but also makes it wear off quite fast. So it’s the ultimate test. If the parfum can handle a couple of hours on your wrist without completely fading you know you got yourself a keeper. 3) The neck has all the same properties of the wrist but it’s kind of hard to smell your own neck…your wrist on the other hand is super easy to smell/check.

  • Moisturize your skin before applying the perfume. Making sure your moisturizer is neutral smelling and does not overpower your perfume. All good pulse points and two short sprays on your shirt will make your perfume last much longer. EDP will last about 8 hours on average and EDT will stay on for around 6. Or simply get a higher concentration of perfume like Parfum. Any more suggestions are welcome but this works for me.

  • Weather and humidity are big factors for me. In the height of summer when the humidity is over 80%, my perfumes do not stand a chance. Also, the fabric of your clothing makes a difference. If you spray synthetic fabric, it’s like spraying plastic. The oils don’t hold and absorb into the synthetic fabric like it would for natural fibers like cotton or wool.

  • BODY OIL/BUTTER/LOTION anything “greasy” applied before fragrance helps slow or even stop the evaporation process. I apply fragrance directly on the skin after prepping it (moisturised skin is key) and maybe one or two sprays on my clothing. My clothes still smell good a week later when I’m doing laundry.

  • My longest-lasting perfume is Ultra Male. It lasts so extremely long, I can still smell it on my clothes the next day. And speaking of clothes, if you’re wearing cotton clothes, spray your perfume on it. In cotton, scents last forever. But other substances also hold scents well. And a tip for the skin: put a moisturizer on the areas before spraying. Because a damp skin carries the scent better than a dry one.

  • It’s extremely important to spray pulse points, and to have showered beforehand so that the skin pores are clean and ready to “accept” the perfume essence. This way, you can keep “radiating waves” of the smell, (if it makes any sense) and even if you go noseblind to it – which I know for a fact, happened to me with my Aventus, resulting in me overspraying the fragrance- other people can pick up wafts of your sillage even after you’ve passed them by. Don’t forget that our brains are hardwired to get accustomed to a scent, so you being in your own perfume cloud and not smelling anything after a few minutes, is perfectly normal, and by no means does it mean the scent has worn off. Hope it helped, cheers!

  • I work in Fragrance Industry And so i have known few important things. Warmer the place, the better fragrance you smell. Im not talking about Desert region, i mean the Room Temperature. Coz in Cool Temperatures its lill difficult to smell the Fragrance/Notes Exactly. Cold also makes people lose their sense of smelling coz of nose blocking. So this is also one of the reason why people say that-” Perfume is a Fake One….” or they think is Not Worthy. Well, everyone has their own perceptions.

  • Hello there my Brother!!! Yes heat definitely affects the aroma of CDNIM. I purchased a brand new bottle and I was so excited when it finally arrived. Now mind you it’s BLISTERING HOT here in Florida. By the time I had gotten home from work it had been sitting in the mailbox for over 6 hours in the heat of the day. When I sprayed it, I thought it was a counterfeit and YES they do make counterfeits of CDNIM. It has the aroma of like a cheap Stetson fragrance. I was soooooo bummed. I now have found out what time the mail arrives and try to take my lunch break to go home to get what ever fragrance that I have ordered OUT of the oven of a mailbox. Anyway I just wanted to share this tidbit with you and just say THANK YOU for what you do for us out here in the fragrance community. I love perusal you and your articles. You have helped save me a TON of cash and have educated me on quite a bit on fragrances. So once again thank you my friend and I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day today. Be well my Brother. Sincerely Dudley Hamby P.S. If you EVER have any Creed Aventus clone giveaways or any Creed Aventus sample give aways PLEASE keep this poor boy in mind. Thank you 🙏

  • A lot of Muslim men use what’s often called attar, which is oil based perfume or perfume oil. There are attar versions of most popular perfumes. Oil bonds with your skin better, and the fragrance release slower, so you have a slow sweet mist around you for the whole day, sometimes even days, and it doesn’t hurt everyone in the face as soon as you enter the room, but when someone stands next to you, they’ll pick up enough hints of your fragrance to remember you by.

  • Hi Antonio! First of all, thanks for your amazing articles and good tips. I discovered Antaeus by Chanel when I was only 20 years old, and from that moment on, it became “my fragrance”, and even today, at 56, I still wear it. It is a fragrance that is not easy to find in all perfumeries, at least in my city / country (I’m from Barcelona, Spain), and only in a few occasions I have met another person who also wore it. Sometimes I alternate it with other fresher or softer fragrances (especially in summer), but I always return to my beloved and faithful Antaeus. Do you know this fragrance? And if so, what do you think about it?

  • I love diesel only the brave tattoo, not many people in my area have it and I love wearing it but it’s been my signature scent for about a year now. With that being said I become nose blind to it after 3 sprays, but I have people giving me compliments. So what I do to make it stand out is I put on an unscented lotion on and then spray the cologne. Makes it last a little longer and I can smell it myself! I hope this helps

  • I’m just in love with HUGO BOSS… It is such a strong and manly fragrance and smells even better when it’s been on me for more than 2 – 3 hours… To avoid the problem of fragrance fading out, I’ve started using OILS. they last much much longer than the perfume and there’s still a hint of it even when the clothes are washed… The second favorite is an ARAB fragrance from AL NABEEL namely AL-GHADEER… It’s sweet yet so strong

  • I’m using Lattafa Fakhar, it’s getting me 10+ hours! I live in a pretty hot and humid country which makes it even more impressive! Here are some tips – try to apply on clean skin (after a morning shower, drying your body down), use a deodorant on your armpits and other areas, except where you intend to spray your fragrances, and to me, spraying on chest area is better than spraying on the neck. (also, hey Antonio, mind checking middle eastern brands like Lataffa? they are really good)

  • Real quick Antonio, just because something is an EDT rather than EDP, that doesn’t mean it won’t last as long. Sauvage is a wonderful example. The EDP and Parfums were designed that way because they were fresher mixes than the spicy EDT, BUT the EDT still commonly lasts longer. 14 hours on my own skin

  • This has always made me wonder about the differences in cologne’s. I remember back in the 1980’s when “Giorgio” came out. It was $100 back then. It was the opposite of most discussions on colognes not lasting long. This one lasted for 2-3 days until it wore off. It was the strongest cologne I ever used. I had to quit using it because even one spray was too strong and overpowering. Besides, everyone was buying it and you smelled it everywhere. Does anyone remember Giorgio, and Why did it last so long when all others conked out?

  • Most people do not have a skin or body routine that causes a low performance scent projection. Most likely they are not hydrated enough and the skin absorbs the cologne into the skin. Drink lots of water for inner hydration and hydrate your outer skin (Good unscented lotion or Vaseline as a base) everyday. Your cologne will perform well.

  • I live in a tropical country (Philippines, Asia) and I’m wondering which of these perfumes are going to work well with the hot weather considering it’s 28-33°C everyday. 1. Dior Sauvage 2. Versace Dylan Blue 3. Versace Eros 4. Dunhill Icon 5. Dunhill Desire Blue 6. Paco Rabanne 1 Million 7. Calvin Klein Eternity

  • Ralph Lauren, Safari for men. Extremely strong in the beginning, but lasts forever. What also works well is real cologne (like 4711) which initially can be used lightly so as not to be overpowering and refreshed during the day with a drop of water on the skin parts it was applied onto, at least thats my experience.

  • I have spent thousands on high end scents. Most are EDP versions. That being said….the ones that are supposed beast mode, I spray about 6 sprays on me when I go out and 2 hours later scents have faded to the point that they are not even there. The only cologne that I have bought that is truly beast mode is Black Orchid. Three sprays of that juice and it lasts ALL night long. So yea…..

  • Great article, Antonio. As for the cologne atomizer, I see a lot of mixed feelings about these (and the different types out there). I didn’t see you link to any specific one you like using. Do you have a recommended atomizer? Some pump through the bottom like the one you just showed. Others have said that due to this, there is evaporation. I assume that’s why some of the products description on Amazon says “lasts 7 days”. Is this accurate? On the other hand, I’ve read people say get the glass bottles and not the plastic bottles. Is this correct? Others said some of these atomizers leak. Some also have said using an atomizer that works with the funnel ensures no evaporation…..is this correct? Too many topics that go into atomizers. If you could expound a little on this, that would be great, brother. Thanks so much.

  • Personally I always prefer EDP over EDT because I’d rather have a stronger scent last shorter and reapply throughout the day as needed, than having it last too long. And I know someone might be like “well EDP lasts longer” yes it may but that’s why I choose it because 9/10 I only use it and want it to last for a couple hours, 6-8 if anything!

  • 1 spray on each jugular, 1 spray under the Adams apple, 1spray on the back of the neck, and 1 spray on each wrist… set it and forget it. You may not be able to smell it, but everyone else can! Don’t overdo it, and NEVER rub it in (that breaks down the fragrance), my friend… sometimes, less is more !!! Great article, Antonio. BTW, my favorite fragrances are Pineapple Vintage King Intense, L’Homme Prada EDT, BVGARI AQVA Amara, Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme EDT, CHHC CH Men Prime EDT, Azzaro Wanted By Night EDP, and of course, Christian Dior Sauvage EDT… PEACE

  • in the morning: – Take a shower – use a neutral smelling moisturizer /petroleum jelly (not really recommanded but better than nothing) EDIT for mommy’s little benders: petrolyum jelly a.k.a vaseline is rather an emergency tool and should NOT be used EVERYDAY ALL OVER your body. – spray on your liquid courage after(!) putting on your clothes – profit

  • I am wearing my initio rehab fragrance and I love it. It’s so smooth with the opening being a powdery spicy Sandalwood then as it dries down the Sandalwood takes over intertwined with musk and has the woody note of vanila. Lavender is somewhere in there but I guess I have to wait for that to come out. I also just bought initio absolute aphrodisiac in 90ml bottle I’m so excited for it arrive

  • I spray most of my perfume on my clothes, and just a little of it on my skin. That makes most of it last until I need to wash that shirt. I have an eau de toilette (Karl Lagerfeld) that stays for days when I use it that way, with just 3 sprays. If I’d use something stronger, I’d go with just one spray, or two at a big distance. Maybe some people just have a bad sense of smell. I can’t imagine putting on 7 sprays, damn.

  • Going back to even college I do 2 things. One I avoid keeping my fragrances in hot storages like garages cars or upstairs where heat rises. Also people thought I was crazy until they tried it. But in refrigerate my fragrances. Especially my light. Blue. Or summer ones. It preserves them and it really makes them pop out of the bottle, especially on room temp skin

  • Antonio, just started perusal your articles a few weeks ago. Very interesting. I appreciate your professionalism and knowledge. Regarding this particular question, I also have a fragrance I recently purchased that is a high end fragrance but horrible longevity. I expected more from this brand. The fragrance is Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver. My wife can’t smell it 2 hours after application. I purchase all of my fragrances at Nordstrom online and, like you, I hope and trust that this retailer is ensuring quality products. Thanks for any feedback.

  • Some fragrances I can smell all day on me. Some disappear within an hour. Seems when I was much younger, an after shave or Eau de Cologne would last all day. Now, EDP rarely makes it through the entire day. I take great measures to bathe and moisturize my skin. I also apply petroleum jelly to my wrists, and bottom of my neck then I atomize the fragrance to pulse points: my wrists, inside elbows, sides of my neck and behind my ears, base of my neck, chest under my pecs. Behind my knees, and ankles. Even with all that, I sometimes lose a fragrance within an hour. Club de Nuit… one of my top 5! ALWAYS gets a compliment and I can smell it at the end of the day. I like that! I do consider I’m nose blind to some fragrances now.

  • I’m loving the sauvage elixir lately, I’m new to fragrances at the level I’m at now, currently test online stores for authenticity just to see, but Macy’s is my typical go to for authentic stuff, I’m looking for good colognes to get, I think bleu de Chanel and Prada Rossa ocean EDPs are my next ones to get

  • Those are some valid points but I think people need to understand that “eau de toilette” and “eau de parfume” also have factors in this. Edt has more alcohol in it and less fragrance oils than edp. Edp on the other hand has more fragrance oils and less alcohol so there for it lasts longer cause the less alcohol content so it don’t vaporize quicker.

  • I have 5 fragrances that I like Gucci Guilty, Prada Luna Rossa Carbon, Versace Eros, Versace Eros Flame, and Versace The Dreamer. I hear a lot of people say the Versace Eros fragrances smell bad. Is this a common theme? I wear them because I like them but I also don’t want to smell “bad”. Should I be worried about this or just not care because I enjoy them. I also use a non scented lotion after I shower. Could that affect these fragrances? Do you recommend the deodorants and soaps that come in the fragrance kits?

  • Still rocking the OG Tommy Hilfiger! It does seem different these days, I think they changed the recipe. It still smells good non the less. I recently bought Rich Man, which I think is good. I used to love Candies for Men. Aqua Di Gio was always good. Gucci Guilty, tho I think they changed this one too, doesn’t smell the same as it did in 2010.

  • Lol maaaaan I’ve been looking for this name “Noseblind!!!”. I never get worried when I don’t my own smell my scent coz most people still ask for the name of the scent(s) I wear, even hours after I’ve worn, hell, sometimes even when I’m not wearing it soo Arun can relax. Agree with you on that part, A sauvage can’t last such a short amount of time. I have Dior generic and it lasts the entire day

  • Most frags are too strong for my taste and many have powdery base notes which I find repulsive. If these frags get on my clothing then it can be difficult to get the smell out even with laundry. I find a single spray in the palm of my hand mixed with dab of unscented body lotion can be added to my hair for adequate projection and longevity for me without damaging my clothing. I find this method also increases longevity of the top notes and works well for layering frags also.

  • I use a fragrance free oil (argan, extra virgin olive, etc) and dab a bit into my palm, then spray a pump of my fragrance for the day into it, then massage it into my beard. It stays there all day, and everyone I hug or whisper to during the day gets a bit of it. I’ve had many female colleagues tell me how good I always smell, but they’ve got to be pretty close to know that. No one wants a walking candle. You’re clearly in my space if you can smell me.

  • Well like you said it depends on ALOT of different variables, but me personally yo, from the Axe Line up so far I only like Axe Black & Axe Swagger” I lightly apply 2 squirt’s on each side of the neck and given I sweat quite a bit these selections some to be withstand nicely but if I’m going to treat my self 2 a Super Top Secret Special Colognes List are from “Liz Clayborne Curve Line up” but the Cologne is actually called “Curve” but there are a couple different ones I like from “Curve” there’s “The Green Curve Bottle” it’s very mellow yet slightly subtle and this is applied 2 spray’s on each side of my neck and it lasts a good amount of time out of the day then same Family “Curve Red Curve Bottle” I find with this “Curve Red”I’ll put 2 spray’s on each side of my neck and after a couple hours it fades out and I smell like potent sweat again Sir 😢… Aaaand LASTLY coming from the same family of “Curve” is “Curve Black” this 1 is super dear to me I like 3 spray’s on each side of my neck and and this last a long while” any tips??? bcuz I’m definitely interested and willing to learn Sir…

  • Im very new to trying and wearing colognes. Ive never really made it a habit to wear cologne everyday until recently. I have a bottle of stetson, i like nautica voyage, smolder by the blades grim and i just picked up a few of those “just like” ect from family dollar. I also have a selection of solid colognes coming that i wanna try. No one has said anything to me about any cologne i wear so idk if anyone even notices honestly lol. I hit the neck, chest, wrists and inner elbow so im pretty sure im covering those bases.

  • I have had the same issue. I tried many Parfums, edt, colognes to no avail. After 1 maybe 2 hours max, the scent was gone. On my clothes it stayed for hours. Things are better since I started putting some odourless skin lotion after showering…like the women do. A necessary sacrifice to be able to smell some of my beloved scents

  • I have tried pretty much everything to make my fragrances last longer and to no luck. I moisturize with vitamin d cream Drink lots of water every day Healthy diet I dont smoke, i occasionally drink. I get good sleep and still every fragrance i own last no longer then 1hr/1hr30 mins MAX and i own sone very good quality fragrances

  • My biggest tip for the smell staying for longer is to add 1 final spray to ur chest holding the bottle bout 15-20cm away. This will distribute the scent across a larger area of fabric which will hold the fragrance for longer. This is because the material of your clothing wont take on as harsh of effects as the direct skin on your body

  • One way to discern if a fragrance may stain your clothes is to first spray it on a white surface like a test strip or piece of paper; the test strip might be better because the absorbency factor will be different and better than plain paper. If there is a color difference definitely stay and follow the 6″ rule to avoid staining. : )

  • I have 7year old dior sauvage edp. It dousn’t have badge code, idk if it vanished bc of the time cus the bottle have a lot of scratches. It smells a bit different but not like other fragrance. I remember that It smelled way different years ago. My dad bought me this parfume from his friend who worked in sephora and back in the day they had discounters for employes (idk how it’s now). But everyone says it smell great and it lasts on my skin for abt 6-7h.

  • Let me help… The Spray Cologne forms are really for your clothes in my opinion, I mean it last longer on fabric than skin as I’ve noticed. I purchase 32oz of the Men’s Body Oil Version, and Oil beats the Spray, it will stay over 2 days on you and just have guys and girls asking what’s the Fragrance… If I buy the Cologne Spray, it’s for my clothes, and I Over Spray, I hope this helps!

  • My favorite fragrance today is Club de Nuit intense. Surprised that it doesn’t last long for some people. However, I have a mini spray of some of my perfumes in my backpack and put a couple of sprays in the middle of the day. The one that I also love and gives me some problems regarding durability is Jean Paul Gartier Le Beau (Parfum).

  • As you can probably tell, I’m a handyman and been wearing cologne since high school. That’s when I bacame a big fan! Yes, l wear cologne as a construction worker. I get asked what’s the point, anyway but anyway. I’ve realized after a long day of work, after the fragrance which appears to be gone is still on my shirt and beater. Hope this helps. My advice spray of clothes because if it works for a construction guy it will definitely work for most if not all.🤙

  • Easiest way to test if fragrance lasts-Get a paper sample in the store, make sure you try fragrance for exact season.Put the sample in plastic zip tight bag and bring it home.Put the sample on your pc or coffee table and during the day just revisit it and see if you can smell it from like meter or so away.If fragrance lasts a full day it’s good one,if 2 even better,I had some last 4 days (old Black XS for example). Also always spray fragrance on inside of your clothes, they last longer, don’t mix with skin sweat plus it’s far more healthier, you don’t need more than 3 pumps (center of shirt, left and right side just at mid chest level).

  • I have a bathtub filled with my favorite cologne, and a room with strategically placed fans and ventilation that I call the wind room to knock down the intensity of the scent a few degrees. I soak in the cologne bath for about 5 minutes in the morning, and then immediately after I go stand in my wind room for like 10 minutes and then I don’t loose the scent all day. In case anyone actually thinks this is legit it’s clearly a joke.

  • PLEASE man, talk about ESSENS company SELUZ.

  • Versace Eros, blends with my natural scent through the day… I’m very careful of where I walk what I touch where I spray has a very low contact point. Also I try and match all smells similarly with one another to keep other men from trying to match my smell…like clothes I don’t want a double standing near me

  • Awesome article sir How about if I want more protection from certain fragrance of moisturize my skin whit uncented one and later aply the fragance whit another fragrance who has stronger projection ? In short words I have a prada l’homme Milano intense this fragrance have a very close to skin projection I just want a bit more of Please help me what to do I would greatly appreciate your time Thank you!!

  • Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male the Original. Stays very long. Mine stays for 6 hours. And the base stays until my next shower. The way I spray… Either sides under ears, bottom area of the throat. Back of my neck. Collar bones. Wrists back n front and elbows front and back. Yes. Between your chest and then back. Lastly, above the calves, right behind the knees. Works like magic and yes it mixes with the body scent.

  • Halloween Man X, sounds dumb but it’s so good. Azzaro Wanted by Night is another fantastic performing, wonderful smelling fragrance. To try and make things last longer, I use moisturizing soap, a moisturizing lotion in the areas I apply cologne, and drink lots of extra water. I don’t usually spray on clothes, I feel like it changes the scent and how it evolves, and also doesn’t project the same way it does off skin. Now according to everything I’ve read and heard, Sauvage EDT actually is one of the rare few that massively outperforms the EDP.
