Is The Greenhouse Church Independent?

The Greenhouse Church is a non-denominational, Bible-based, and Spirit-led local church in Gainesville, FL. It is committed to building authentic community beyond just Sunday mornings and making an impact in Gainesville and around the world. The Bible is the indispensable record of God’s self-disclosure, and it serves as the authoritative rule and guide for Christian life, conduct, and doctrine. Non-denominational churches are congregations that are not self-affiliated with a traditional denomination and often separate themselves from the strict doctrine and customs of other denominations.

In 2021, nondenominational Protestants in the United States outnumbered mainline Protestants. This shift in the church landscape is attributed to the surge in the number of nondenominational churches over the past decade. The church plant of the Baptist NSW and ACT Association is committed to seeing 1000 healthy churches by 2050. They believe that loving God is best experienced in the context of community and practice authenticity and vulnerability as they “do life” together.

The Greenhouse Church meets in the Western High School auditorium every Sunday at 10:30am. They are a diverse spiritual family, believing in the Gospel as God’s good news for the whole world. They are committed to obeying Christ’s commission to proclaim it to all mankind and are committed to being a church plant of the Baptist NSW and ACT Association.

What denomination is the House church?

House churches in China, originating from the early 20th century revivals in the countryside, are seen as part of a tradition of independence. These churches, free from foreign missionary control, had fundamentalist and charismatic roots and faced persecution, imprisonment, torture, and death. Despite these hardships, they persevered in their union with Christ and found strength in their union with Christ. Today’s house churches can be rural or urban, charismatic, fundamentalist, or Reformed, and may be Baptist, Presbyterian, or non-denominational.

They share a common connection to the independence of early 20th century Chinese churches and their devotion to Christ. The Center for House Church Theology (CHCT) aims to capture the theology and teaching of the modern urban Chinese house church. Despite their long history of persecution and inability to be recognized by the state, house church leaders continue to draw on the legacy of their rural forerunners.

They have accumulated a wealth of experience that Christians worldwide can learn from, particularly regarding faithful Christian witness as a marginalized group speaking to the cultural foundations of an ancient global superpower.

  • Hi! Asking God to restore me and strengthen me as i finish graduate school and prepare for my future. May He forgive me for not always abiding in Him. May He bless me and my boyfriend to be married, keeping Jesus first. Thank you so much for your message! It has helped me tremendously, and God bless you for it!

  • Thank you so much for this message. I grew up in the church all my life, was in a leadership position in the youth ministry and currently in a new season of marriage and motherhood. It’s been so tough lately and that part of the verse ‘my yoke is easy my burden is light’ was always vague to me but, now it has become so clear, this message is so timely 😭 Praise Jesus! God bless y’all! ❤

  • Qoutes from this article: “It’s impossible to unplug from your job but not plug into your King, and He’s the one who gives rest. If you yoke yourself to Jesus even when the storms are going nuts all around you, you will have peace and rest in your soul. You always experience the nature of the things you yoke yourself to. Come to Him and reupping that yoking I did when I met Jesus. The next time you are weary it’s a trigger to remind you you are yoked to something besides Jesus in that area of your life. What have you yoked yourself to other than Jesus? He comes to a cross where He yokes Himself to us, hoping that one day you would yoke yourself to Him.”
