Floral foam is a simple and effective method for securing artificial flowers in a vase. It acts as a firm base to hold stems in place, allowing for precise positioning and secure placement. Cut the foam to fit the vase, especially green foam for transparent ones. Soak the foam, then stick the stems into it, starting with the tallest at the center and working outwards with shorter ones.
If floral foam is not suitable for the vase, filler materials like marbles, pebbles, or moss can be used. These materials add a decorative element to the base and act as a stabiliser for the stems. Place the chosen filler into the vase and arrange the stems among them, using the weight of the materials to keep everything in place.

Rotate the bouquet in your hand as you add more blooms, building it in concentric, outward circles until it reaches the desired size. Attach each stem individually to the main stems by wrapping them several times near the base of the blooms. Consider using different colors or blooms in each layer for a distinctive and formal look.
Wrap each stem as you go to create a signature round bouquet look. Wrap the bouquet from the base downwards, starting at the top of the stems and continuing as you move towards the bottom until you are about 2-3 inches down the stem length.

I’m really wanting to attempt to make my bouquet and all my bridesmaids bouquets and keep hearing about the website aflowers but I’m not sure how much I need to order. Do you think that Hobby Lobby flowers are similiar or is there another store that I could go to? I just want to visually see, feel, and put together flowers before I spend like $400 on fake flowers that I might not like if I can get the same thing at hobby lobby and be able to kind of visually see what I’m putting together before I buy it! My wedding colors are burgundy, gold, and white with lots of wooden things so It’s so hard to find article of flowers to use for my wedding colors lol
I’m going to be devil’s advocate…it’s an ok bouquet but why wouldn’t you wrap the stem? Floral tape is notorious for being sticky. Imagine on your day, holding the bouquet for the length of time a bride does and what will happen? Sticky fingers and hands. Wrapping it would have taken it to the next level or just a ribbon. I do like the mixture of faux flowers though.
