How To Hydrate The Mother Of Thousands?

Mother of thousands is a versatile and easy-to-grow succulent plant that can be grown both outdoors and indoors. It requires a sunny spot with full or partial sun, well-draining soil, and frequent watering. To care for this plant, choose a sunny spot near a sunny window, keep a jar of water out overnight, and leave water in an open container.

Plant the Mother of Thousands in a well-draining potting mix, water it infrequently but thoroughly, and keep it in bright, indirect sunlight with low humidity at 65 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Watering should be done every 14 to 21 days during the growing season, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. The plant prefers regular watering to keep its soil slightly moist, but avoid overwatering as this can lead to root rot and other issues.

Watering should be done when the soil is completely dry or when propagating them in a container like Kalanchoe. When the top layer of cactus potting mix is dry, water it about every ten to fourteen days, depending on the humidity level in your area. Mother of Thousands needs 0.8 cups of water every 12 days when it doesn’t get direct sunlight and is potted in a 5.0″ pot.

Treatment for Mother of Thousands plants involves light and temperature requirements, watering and humidity tips, soil and potting advice, fertilizing, and hardiness zones 9-11. By following these guidelines, you can ensure the plant thrives and maintains a healthy and vibrant environment for its growth.

  • Hello Tanner, i just bought a Kalanchoe Tubiflora a few weeks ago. At first, the branches were straight out beautifully. I thought i could hang my Xmas decoration on the branches even. Somehow, the branches kind of drooping lately and i don’t know why…can they go back straight like before? I really need to know how to prevent this. Thank you for your answer.

  • Hello I have one question, Why do they call the plant you are holding the mother of millions? And why are the other plants that produce babies on its leaves called mother of thousands? I think the plant you are holding should be titled mother of thousands and the other plants should be titled mother of millions since the other plant besides the one you are holding produce more babies. Don’t you think??🤔🤔
