  • Very helpful. Thank you. Practice is such a key. I feel that just even being able to handle the brush better is an enjoyable victory. It just gets better. I love your honesty and how you are still learning and making mistakes. It makes me less fearful and patient with myself. Thank you Kristy. Karen from Canada

  • Im gonna do this right now. Im feeling anxious and perusal this article relaxed me quite a bit. Im gonna grab my wc and play with it. I dont care if it looks good or not. But Im gonna use some metallic wc I dont really use a lot, but they have soooo much sparks that when they move in the water u can see them “shinning”… it makes me happy to see that effect. So to see that movement inside the circles and doing a dark background, is gomma make my day! Thank u for this article! 😊

  • This is fabulous Kristy! I never knew about exercising and I love it. I have to laugh because I have all your books and I only dream of painting the drawings as well as others do but the one thing I can do is draw perfect circle after perfect circle.😜. That story of Giotto and the perfect circle that means you are a true artist I’m figuring has holes in it.😂 Thank you so much Kristy🌹

  • Wow Kristy! What a fun exercise! I just discovered you today and this is exactly what I needed to see! I waste a lot of time perusal instructional articles when I could be using that time doing stuff like this. Also, I’m going to get one of diagonal brush thingies. Seems like it could simplify certain strokes. Thanks, girlfriend!

  • Thank you SO MUCH for this Awesome tutorial! It is 4am and I was just starting to play with some watercolor markers and I really wanted some tips on making circles look neat. • Hi Kristy! I absolutely love this article!! I’m actually am trying to do Christmas balls, arrr, not easy. I can’t wait to try this tomorrow morning… using my new AfJS brushes that came today!!!! 🤗🤗. I’m so new to watercolor, don’t know how to draw or paint, on purpose anyway. It’s totally by the Grace of God that anything I’ve painted (oil paintings) in the past turned out kinda… That was 15 years ago. I love that you also listen to God, I’m so happy I came upon your articles. Have you ever done a teaching on warm / cool paint colors? I’m trying to do a new palette with warm on one side and cool on the other. I have other questions for you but don’t think I should extend this message any longer. If you could text me I’d appreciate it so much, I heard you say you didn’t mind answering questions. Thank you so much, love your joyful personality and free style!! ❤️
