How To Cool Ridged Plumbing With Water?

Jono from the marketing team explains how to create a custom water-cooling setup for your PC, covering various types of tube-to-tube fittings and angled fittings. Many of the best-looking water-cooled PCs today use rigid tubing, and Jono provides tips on planning and measuring your setup. The process is divided into manageable stages to achieve perfect results.

To bend rigid tubing, hold it in place for a minute to allow it to cool before removing the silicone cord. Use a tool like a craft knife, tube cutting tool, or saw to mark cuts. To lubricate the insert, mix water and dish soap with dish soap. A cutting surface, hacksaw, silicone tube insert, and gloves are needed.

To choose the best tubing for your custom liquid-cooled PC, Alex walks through preparing, bending, and working with PETG and Acrylic tubing. Materials, sizes, tools, and accessories are all covered. Wet the silicone insert with soapy water before placing it in the tube to make it easier to pull out after the bend.

Softer tubing is easier to work with as it’s just a matter of snipping on either end. Hard tubing is usually more complicated due to more careful cutting. In summary, Jono provides a comprehensive guide to creating a custom water-cooling setup for your PC, covering various types of tube-to-tube fittings and angled fittings.

  • I purchased the (ID)10mm (OD)12mm thermaltake kit using the primochill OD 1/2 which should equate to OD 12mm But the insert does not fit at all no mater how much soap I use. Also the tube does not fit inside the websites of the mandrel, It sits on the outer walls. Did I get the wrong stuff? On a side not I bought the Bitspower hardtube silicone (ID)10mm. Also a box of the primochill 1/2 OD tubing and the silicone insert does not fit either. Am I misunderstanding something in the measurements? Here is a article of what I’m talking about. youtu.be/vs6jffofJnY
