📹 7 Best Perennial Flowers to Attract Pollinators to Your Garden
In this video, we’re diving into the vibrant world of perennials that not only beautify your garden but also attract a plethora of …
Justin, I love all of those perennials, and I have all of them in my garden except for the Cat’s Pajamas catmint, because I haven’t been able to find it in my area. I grow lantana because I love it, however it’s an annual in my zone 5a. I need to get my two Gro-Rite Garden beds together and filled so I can plant them as soon as possible. Blessings to you and your loved ones. ~Margie🤗💐🦋🐝
I’m in Zone 8a. I planted some Dark Pink Moody Blues Speedwell 4 years ago. Since that time we have divided it and/or moved it (2 or 3 times) and it just keeps going like a champ. I have to add one time we transplanted it during the hot summer and it never appeared to have realized it had been moved (never wilted). When the first round of blooms have faded, I cut it all the way back to the ground (just chopped it a few days ago). It will come back and keep blooming through the fall. One year they were still blooming in December! I love this plant so much I planted Moody Blues Dark Blue and Pink (a blush pink) in an area of our backyard this spring. I also have plans to divide the Dark Pink once again so I can place it in another area. I find that if you can deadhead the spent blooms and pinch, it will grow bushier and have an increase in blooms. One of my Dark Pink plants has a tendency to get a few dark blue flowers on it or a few that are half pink have blue! Glad to see you and love your articles!
Great plant selections for attracting pollinators. We have most of these flowers in our garden and we have other flowers that bees love, Astrantias, Agapanthus, Brook thistle, Sage caradonna, Knapweed, Coreopsis, Cranesbill geraniums, Rudbeckia, Campanula, Alstroemeria, Astilbes, Orvala, Calla lilies, Crocosmia, Osteospermums, Ajuga, Hebes, Fuchsias, Trollius chinensis and Daylilies.
Being that all plants play vital roles in nature which is self evident as they act as food homes and attractors to animals and insects such as birds and bees and Being that plants are living beings and as such are entitled to the same rights as any other living being, to live, and Being that all life by its nature is life affirming we confirm all plants are in fact good
What about rabbit resistant lol. We have critters. Also….u said one “prefers poor soil” but followed it up with “mist drain well” 😂 U don’t live in Alabama. We have clay. Yay right. Sigh. I’ve taken top soil that’s pretty much tiny mulch. I call it tiny mulch anyway. I mix it in when i plant anything. We also heavy mulch twice a year and fertilize. If I didn’t do all that my ground would be like cement.
