Where In The Pushing Daisy Shot Was The Funeral Home?

In the Season 1 episode of Pushing Daisies, the Stimson House was used as a stand-in for the Schatz Brothers Funeral Home in Couer d’Couers, where grave-robbing twins Lawrence and Louis Schatz were killed. The filming locations for Pushing Daisies were the Bradbury Building, Los Angeles, and Warner Bros. Studios.

The story revolves around Ned, a pastry chef with the ability to bring dead people back to life, who is hired by Emerson to solve murders. Emerson asks Ned to bring the funeral director he killed back to life, knowing that it will expose the truth about the murder. The Schatz Brothers Funeral Home, also known as the Couer d’Couers Funeral Home, is a family funeral parlor in Coeur d’Coeurs, owned by Lawrence and Louis Schatz.

The filming locations for Pushing Daisies include Stimson House, located at 2421 S Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, California, USA. This home, on the property of Mt St Mary’s College, has also been used for the thriller “House 2”. Coeur d’Coeurs and Papen County are located on the west coast of the United States, rather than the east coast.

In 2005, a documentary called “Pushing Up Daisies” was released, which focused on the life of the character, Jones. The series was created by Bryan Fuller and aired on ABC from October 3, 2007, to June 13, 2009.

  • This is hands down one of the best country songs to come from a “mainstream” act in years, and it’s not even being played on country radio.. Port saint joe is as well easily one of the best country albums to be released in years (or ever), and the only song I hear (very scarcely) on the radio is shoot me straight, which won’t be played much because it just rocks too much harder than anything else out, and it feels too much like something off of Allman bros album ‘hittin’ the note’, and not like some shitty Jason Aldean (Colt Ford) rendering. For fuck sake they won best vocal duo 2 years running, and they have released an epic album this year and are still not getting radio play.. country music is alive but as usual is being drowned out by all the usual bullshit that real music lovers are tired of, and I can only hope that the brothers can keep it authentic because they are a welcomed breath of fresh air in the bridge between popular and authentic country.

  • After being stuck in a horrible marriage for 17 years I finally got divorced and met the woman of my dreams 2 years later. A perfect woman that’s 9 degrees out of my league. I wondered why God would bless me with such a woman. A year after we were married, she’s been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at 42 years old. Terminal. According to the studies, we’ve got about 4 years left together. If I had it to do over again, I’d marry her again knowing her diagnosis. Still, this song kicks me right in the chest.

  • (Verse 1) I’d promise you forever if I could If I could slow down the hands of time I would I know they say all good things must end If I could do it all over I would do it all over Over and over again (Chorus) We’ll go on ’til were pushin’ up daisies We’ll grow old and wild and I’ll still be callin’ you baby We’ll never get enough, we’ll be livin’ it up right down to the day we die Naw, we ain’t gettin’ out of this love alive (Verse 2) ‘Til I held you close I never felt the feelin’ And now I’ll feel that way ’til the last sunset goes down You turned a stubborn southern boy into a believer Believe me when I say, “It’s gonna stay that way ’til they lay me in the ground” (Chorus) We’ll go on ’til we’re pushing up daisies We’ll grow old and wild and I’ll still be callin’ you baby We’ll never get enough, we’ll be livin’ it up right down to the day we die Naw, we ain’t gettin’ out of this love alive (Chorus) We’ll go on ’til were pushing up daisies We’ll be old and wild and I’ll still be callin’ you baby We’ll never get enough, we’ll be livin’ it up right down to the day we die Naw, we ain’t gettin’ out of this love alive (Outro) When our last breath is gone And they carve our name in stone Oh, we ain’t gettin’ out of this love alive

  • These guys are some of the very best I’ve ever heard. I can’t get enough of them and love every single song and article. Their sound is so amazing and they are so much fun to watch and listen to. I know it’s probably IMPOSSIBLE for me to ever see them live because they would have to come to MAUI, but I’ll tell ya there’s lots of country fans on our island!

  • Ive been lovin these guys for a couple years now. I must say that this song is my favorite. Ive passed this song along to a lot of my friends, and it has turned them on to these guys. Even friends that despise country music. Im in Detroit, and it gets no play time at all. Makes me a little sad but at the same time, I feel like I have a best kept secret here. Only wished that they played the song when they were here last month at The Filmoore. Lovin the lane these guys are in!

  • This is a long shot i know, but i have a favor to ask of the brothers Osborne. My father passed away just over two years ago and when the two year anniversary of his passing came, my beautiful bride to be knowing how hard that time of year is on me surprised me with tickets to the brothers Osborne in Dubuque iowa. The concert was awesom. Fast forward to this last week. My mother is now having health problems and we decided to push our wedding up to September of this year giving us just about 6 months to pull this off . The favor that im asking for is the brothers Osborne to give my fiencee Jessica a shout out and play pushing up daisys for us so i can surprise her with it for our first dance. She is my motivation to be a better man and she deserves the world i cant wait to marry her. Sincerely Robert Cook

  • So, for a slightly wierd comment.. I live outside.. (I’ve had some privacy/safety issues prior. Not saying this is much better.. Anyways.. ) I live in Boulder, rn. And I see this older couple go for a walk almost every night.. This song makes me think of them. (They walked by as a was grabbing my phone to write this out.. 🤔)

  • Did You Have to Steal the Song Title from Garth Brookes or did you get his Permission to use it. The Real Garth Brooks Version of Pushing Up Daisy’s pertains more to Really Pushing Up Daisy’s and is a Hell of A Lot Better Song. New Artists Today Suck. 10 Word Songs, Remakes of Great Hits by Better Artists and Stolen Song Titles. Is it Any Wonder Why Really Country Music Lovers Can’t Stand to Turn on The Radio Anymore so We Don’t Have to Listen to Crap that Should Be On Pop Charts.
