When Should Sunflowers Be Sprayed Beyond?

The Clearfield® train can be sprayed with Beyond herbicide at 4 oz per acre, providing superior contact and residual control of key grasses and tough broadleaf weeds in wheat, rice, sunflower, lentil, and canola. If you have Nuseed’s Clearfield Plus hybrid, you can tank-mix in a Methylated Seed Oil for optimal effectiveness.

Beyond herbicide delivers superior contact and residual control of key grasses and tough broadleaf weeds in wheat, rice, sunflower, lentil, and canola. It gives crops relief from having to compete for weeds. Best Use Recommendations: Apply Beyond herbicide at 4 fl oz/A to 2- to 8-leaf Clearfield® herbicide and Clearfield Plus® Sunflower, adding non-ionic surfactant (NIS) at 0.25 v/v.

For Clearfield sunflower, treat with imazamox (BEYOND) at 4 oz. per acre in the 2 to 8 leaf stage. Add non-ionic surfactant and liquid nitrogen fertilizer additives for adequate weed control.

If you cultivate your rows 30 days after planting and spray pre emergent herbicide, it is important to avoid disturbing the soil by spraying Beyond herbicide. Use preemergence, non-ALS-inhibiting herbicides like Prowl® H2O before spraying Beyond to increase weed control on targeted weeds.

Grass control may be reduced in tank mixtures containing ALS and ACCase. See the Beyond herbicide product label for rotational crop restrictions for a specific region and cropping system. Do not apply more than 4 fl oz/A of Beyond.

In summary, Beyond herbicide provides superior contact and residual control of key grasses and tough broadleaf weeds in wheat, rice, sunflower, lentil, and canola crops. It is recommended to use preemergence, non-ALS-inhibiting herbicides like Prowl® H2O before spraying Beyond herbicide.
