  • The IPCC claim that CO2 is a so called “Greenhouse Gas” because it has strong IR absorption and emission bands at 15µm. According to Wien’s displacement law, 15µm radiation has a corresponding temperature of minus -80º C. The troposphere, (that’s the bit of the atmosphere we live in) is defined by molecules which have a temperature of minus -60º C and above. IR emissions from CO2 @ 15µm cannot heat any molecules in the troposphere, it would be a violation of the laws of thermodynamics and is impossible. Outside of the 15µm absorption and emission bands, CO2 is indistinguishable from the rest of the molecules in the air, in accordance with the ideal gas law. When they say that the “greenhouse effect is settled science”, the truth is 180º the opposite. The so called “greenhouse effect” is an hypothesis i.e. pure conjecture. Nothing could be further from being settled science. The “greenhouse effect” hypothesis is and always has been, as I have stated above, a contravention of the laws of physics and therefore completely at odds with the “settled science”.

  • This article doesn’t include the number of commercial flights per day. It’s well over 100,000. Add to that figure, the military flights of every nation and you have a good reason to be concerned. In addition, those jet engines constantly warm the upper atmosphere which contributes to the warming trends and the melting of Greenland’s ice shelves.
