Three Dwellings, A Fire Emblem, And A Floral Funeral?

A Funeral of Flowers, a final boss track from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, is a powerful, beautiful, and sad piece of music composed by Takeru Kanazaki, Rei Kondoh, and Hiroki Morishita. The song is often compared to God-s***tering Star, but it has its own merits. The song is arranged by Ashton Henry II for solo piano and is available on Spotify.

A Funeral of Flowers is a popular choice among fans of the game, with many praising its power and beauty. It is often overlooked in favor of God-stering Star, which is considered the best boss theme. However, the plot relevance of God-stering Star is somewhat lacking.

A Funeral of Flowers is also featured in the final battle theme of the game, with a metal cover by FamilyJules. The song is available on Spotify and can be listened to on desktop and mobile.

For Fire Emblem: Three Houses on the Nintendo Switch, a GameFAQs message board topic titled “A Funeral of Flowers (Potential spoilers)” is available. The song is also available as a piano version on Spotify.

In summary, A Funeral of Flowers is a powerful and beautiful piece of music that stands out in the Fire Emblem: Three Houses soundtrack.

  • YEEEEEEESSSSSS FINALLYY!!! I’VE BEEN CRAVING FOR THIS THANK YOU I’ve always had a nostalgic yet cozy feeling from this melody. It’s bittersweet to think about it, but this is a serenade that nailed the fleeting sensation of hopelessness and satisfaction for reaching the end in both titles alike. Great job at mixing them all together! <3

  • I hope the fire hasn’t died for this incredible soundtrack. It’s still one of my absolute favorites to cover so I hope you still enjoy these as much as I am enjoying making them! As always, the full tab to this cover is available to my Silver Level supporters on Patreon and the MP3s and uncompressed WAV is available to my Gold Level supporters! Thank you for your support! 😊

  • Cons of Silver Snow: -Rhea isn’t playable -Least unique route gameplay-wise -Next to no new lore learnt -Seteth and Byleth aren’t good Lords -Barely any of the characters, both Church and BEs, have anything to do with the story at any point -Nemesis isn’t the final boss Pros of Silver Snow: -This song. I’d say it balances out

  • Edelgard did plenty wrong, but that’s true for everyone of note. Rhea’s folly wasn’t one of malevolence, but of incompetence. If she’d really been some great manipulator Fodlan never would have broken up into multiple countries given what we learn of her intentions, but she was woefully ineffective at curtailing humanity’s petty squabbles and just as flawed as the most flawed of any of them, being far too hung up on her personal matters to serve as a real leader. The only reason the church didn’t lose its grip sooner is because Seteth came in over the recent years to help handle the day to day affairs better, but that was too little, too late after how royally she’d bungled things. Edelgard, on the other hand, knew enough about what was going on that the maneuvering done in White Clouds was a waste of resources and a betrayal of the good faith of the people that threw their lives away opposing Rhea in smaller cells of conflict. Yes, due to how hung up Rhea was in her own personal vendettas, talking things out wasn’t really on the table with her and hers, and some of El’s allies were directly opposed to her true goals and not the sort of people she was in a position to break ties with, but there were a lot of smarter strategic and tactical moves that could have been made to keep a greater number of her well-intentioned allies alive. Her problem was that she’s so caught up in the sacrifices Would be made mentality that she went into every scenario with sacrifices Had to be made in mind.

  • “Aight so then Rhea explains all the stuff and they all live happily ever after” “But wait we didnt end on a huge final battle.” “But Edelgard was the villain and they beat her.” “Yeah but she was just a normal unit and we can’t have the final boss of a modern fire emblem game be just a normal human” “Ah yeah and we are already using her monster form for the Blue Lion final boss fight.” “How about we just make Rhea go berserk for no adequately explained reason.” “Sounds good.”
