This will allow you to organize planting and use the greenhouse throughout the year for growing vegetables, fruit, and tender blooms. There are various greenhouse ideas and styles that can suit any backyard style, providing a beautiful, undercover alfresco space and the ability to grow a variety of vegetables, which can be used to start off your kitchen garden ideas.
How do I maximize my greenhouse?
A greenhouse can be a valuable tool for those looking to grow their own fruits and vegetables, but are concerned about food quality, supply chain issues, or having fresh produce readily available. By considering the growing space in a vertical and horizontal quadrant, you can maximize the space on the floor, containers, wall space, shelving, framing bars, and roof bars. Each framing bar is an interior bolt track system, allowing you to hang shelves, baskets, or accessories anywhere in the greenhouse. Even smaller greenhouses can make space for new growth, with beginner-level 8×8 greenhouses like The Sunhaven capable of yielding hundreds of pounds of fruit and vegetables per year.

How can we make greenhouse efficient?
Insulate a greenhouse by sealing cracks, replacing broken panes, and ensuring vents and doors fit snugly. Add bubble polythene for insulation. Transparent mastic is a quick and easy seal, but use flexible material to prevent panes from breaking. Focus on energy efficiency and well-ventilated greenhouses to prevent dampness and mold. Suitable for autumn to spring and easy to moderate difficulty, greenhouses should be well-ventilated to prevent damage.
Does greenhouse need scarecrow Stardew?
The greenhouse is designed to grow crops year-round, without requiring scarecrows to prevent crows from eating them. Crops need to be watered, even on rainy days, and a water trough can be refilled along the north wall. Crops that regrow will not die at the end of any season. A one-tile thick wood border surrounds the crop rectangle, and sprinklers can be placed on this border to water any tiles within its reach.
Between the wood border and greenhouse walls is a two-tile thick region unsuitable for crops, populated with decorative items. Fruit trees can be planted in this area, provided there are two tiles between them. Fruit trees cannot be planted in the corners of the greenhouse, and neither the greenhouse wall nor the wood border will impede their growth. However, a one-space separation must be maintained between the tree and any items placed on the wood border or exterior region during the tree’s growth.
