I love this flower! Thanks for the example to follow. A friend and I have each painted this twice and are both struggling with the yellow not being opaque enough to cover the blue background. The flower petals are more transparent than opaque. Are we using the wrong kind of yellow? I’m using cadmium yellow medium and a darker yellow light. I’ve tried building the colour up but not successfully. Help!
