How To Water Quickly Without Your Parents Realizing?

Water fasting is a practice where individuals abstain from consuming food and only drink water for a set period of time. It can offer potential benefits such as weight loss, improved insulin sensitivity, and cellular regeneration. To successfully perform a water fast, drink 9-13 cups of water spread throughout each day. For your first fast, start with one day of fasting at a time and never fast for longer than three days.

Water fasting involves not consuming anything but water for a set period of time and can last for hours or sometimes even weeks. It can be incredibly good and can help you lose weight and regenerate. To avoid eating unhealthy foods, reduce the size of your meals and start with intermittent fasting.

To maintain a healthy lifestyle, consider the following actionable takeaways:

  1. Eat dessert whenever possible.
  2. Snack between meals.
  3. Avoid high-calorie foods like peanut butter.
  4. Move to a distant town, live alone, and avoid new friends and dates.
  5. Refuse invitations to business meals.
  6. Get a cup of water that cannot be seen through and chew thoroughly before spitting it into the cup.
  7. Avoid snacking between meals, avoid sugary drinks and smoothies, drink plenty of water, eat non-starchy vegetables, and consume reasonable amounts of protein.
  8. Eat regular meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with healthy snacks in between.
  9. Share your fasting experiences with your parents, as they will want the best for you.
  10. Try to get sugary beverages, such as soda or juice, but don’t have to be cold. Drink zero-calorie fluids, such as water, black coffee, and tea, during the fasting period.

Does your fast break if you lie?

In Islamic law, the act of fasting is only interrupted by the consumption of food or drink, sexual intercourse, vomiting, and the administration of injections. If fasting and lying are practiced, the resulting rewards are less than what might be expected. In order to avoid committing sins, it is necessary to request forgiveness and endeavour to refrain from them during the period of fasting.

How do you start fasting for beginners?

Intermittent fasting can be a challenging and time-consuming method for beginners, as it requires long periods of fasting without eating much or nothing. A good option for beginners is to fast for a set number of hours each day, starting with 12 hours of fasting, most of which is asleep. As you become more comfortable with 12-hour fasts, you can gradually lengthen the time of the fast. A common intermittent fasting schedule is 16:8, where you eat during an 8-hour period and fast for the remaining 16 hours.

However, not everyone can adopt this lifestyle, so it’s important to choose the most realistic and achievable style. Additionally, the quality of food consumed is crucial, and consuming nutritious foods is just as important as adhering to an intermittent fasting schedule.

Will I lose belly fat if I fast for 3 days?

It is a fallacy to believe that intermittent fasting alone can improve visceral fat loss. In order to achieve weight loss, a combination of diet and exercise, particularly muscle-strengthening exercises, is required. A reduction in caloric intake below that which is expended results in weight loss; however, this does not apply to the loss of visceral fat.

How to hide that you’re fasting?

During periods of fasting, it is recommended that oil be applied to the head and that the face be washed in order to conceal the fast from others. This allows the individual to engage in the act of fasting without being observed by others, while still being able to receive spiritual guidance and blessings from a higher power.

How do you start a water fast for beginners?

To prepare for a water fast, it is recommended to spend 3-4 days preparing your body for the absence of food. This includes eating smaller portions, fasting for part of the day, and adopting a plant-based whole-food diet. Avoid processed foods, added sugars, caffeine, and alcohol to adjust to hunger and cravings. During the fast, drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water daily, preferably mineralized water, to stay hydrated and replenish electrolytes. During the fast, you may experience mood and energy changes, hunger pangs, and may need to nap in between.

How much weight will I lose on a 3 day water fast?

A 3-day water fast can result in weight loss, with an average of 1 to 2 pounds per day. This is due to the depletion of glycogen stores and water weight, which the body relies on for energy. However, this temporary weight loss is not indicative of significant fat loss. The body begins to tap into fat stores for energy after glycogen is depleted, but the primary focus of a short-term fast is often on metabolic and hormonal benefits rather than significant fat loss. Factors such as individual metabolism, starting weight, and overall health play a crucial role in determining the extent of weight loss during a water fast.

What are the rules for a water fast?

A water fast, which typically lasts between 24 and 72 hours, is a practice embraced by those who prioritize health and wellness. During this period, individuals abstain from consuming any food or beverages, with the exception of water. It is recommended that individuals refrain from continuing a water fast without the guidance of a medical professional, given the potential risks to health. It is possible that some individuals may experience weakness or dizziness during the fast. In such cases, it is advisable for them to avoid using heavy machinery and driving, in order to minimise the risk of accidents.

Can you go 40 days with only water?

The results of recent studies indicate that fasting for 40 consecutive days and consuming only water can have adverse effects on the body, despite the potential for weight loss. The drugs Ozempic and Wegovy have been demonstrated to be unsafe for individuals with diabetes and obesity. The recent cardiac arrest of Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin serves as a stark example of the potential risks associated with these medications.

What is forbidden to do while fasting?

What is forbidden to do while fasting?

Ramadan is a holy month in the Islamic lunar calendar, characterized by fasting, worship, service, communal gathering, and spiritual development. Muslims are required to fast on each of the 29 to 30 days of Ramadan, with charity or fasting days outside the month being acceptable. A pre-dawn meal is considered a meritorious practice, and breaking fast at sundown is often done with dates and milk, followed by a fuller meal after the evening prayers. Additional communal prayers, called Tarawih, are also optional.

The first day of fasting is expected to be March 11, but differing interpretive schools among Muslim communities may declare the month to begin a day before or after the predicted date. The holiday commemorating the end of fasting, Eid al-Fitr, is expected around April 9, and consists of a congregational prayer in the morning followed by visiting family and friends. The full day of Eid is an excused absence per the Academic Coursework and Religious Observance Policy, and some cultures may also count the two days after Eid as part of the holiday.

What is the dark side of fasting?

What is the dark side of fasting?

Intermittent fasting is a restrictive diet that has been linked to various health risks, including hunger, headaches, fatigue, and mood disturbances. The long-term safety and effectiveness of intermittent fasting are still largely unconfirmed due to its limited human research and the high drop-out rate of weight loss studies. The most concerning issue is the heightened risk of developing or exacerbating an eating disorder, which can be considered a form of disordered eating.

While intermittent fasting is not itself an eating disorder, it can be considered a form of disordered eating. Some participants may experience temporary discomfort, while others, like those with pre-existing health conditions, may experience more pronounced harms. Understanding the negative side effects of intermittent fasting is crucial for individuals to make informed decisions about their diet and avoid consuming unhealthy foods.

Will I lose fat if I only drink water for 3 days?

Will I lose fat if I only drink water for 3 days?

Water fasting can be a beneficial method for weight loss, but it can also lead to unhealthy weight loss. Studies suggest that drinking water can lead to a 0. 9 kg daily weight loss, but this is primarily due to water, carbs, and muscle mass, not fat. Additionally, water fasting can cause dehydration, as 20-30% of daily water intake comes from food. Symptoms of dehydration may include dizziness, nausea, headache, constipation, and low blood pressure. To avoid dehydration, it may be necessary to drink more water than usual.

  • How do I tell my parents I need help. I can’t take it. I want it to end but I’m too scared to die. My parents LAUGHED at me before. It was late at night and me and some friends were downtown. They were running around and having fun while I was having a panic attack telling myself I was going to die. I told my parents when we got home that I thought I had anxiety and depression and they said “Stop worrying, nothing will happen” then they started joking around about how I probably just made it up to get a pet as an ESA. I never even mention ESAs, I wanted one(for what I could think to be depersonalization disorder), but never mentioned it. I don’t want to bring up the topic again, but I don’t want to live either. I feel like any friend will laugh too.

  • When i told my parents that i was struggling with mental issues they got mad at me and told me that other people had it much worse. my mom told me that she never wanted to hear me talk about mental illness ever again. I have no one close to talk to so I’ve been stuck bottling up my feelings and being confused about how to deal with it. Thank you so much for this.

  • When I was in high school, I saw the school social worker on a regular basis. She said she usually called the parents just to let them know that she was talking to their child, but I did not want my father to know, so I explained the situation to the social worker and she agreed to not call him. I also frequently talked to my guidance counselor and a couple of teachers. It was super helpful at the time and I’m glad that I did it.

  • 1:55 I had a friend like that online and I told her everything abt me being depressed and self harming. My mum saw that I was talking to people online and now she won’t let me have the app anymore. The problem is is that she made everything so much easier and made mae so happy when I was talking to her

  • I can’t talk to my parents they don’t understand and I don’t really get along with them at all.I can’t talk to my friends because I have none anymore. When I was upset About home stuff and panic attacks they didn’t understand and just started to ignore me. My teachers I can’t talk to them either they will just told the year head and she called my mom without even asking. I really hate my life right now😭 I cry going to school every day I feel like nobody around me understands or wants to help 😩 any advice ??

  • I’ve been trying to get help and to get my parents to understand me. When I mention I have intrusive thoughts of hurting myself and others and thinking I may have OCD and other anxiety disorders, my parents just say “that’s crazy” or “stop it you’re fine/stop worrying”. But when I was in high school seeing guidance counsellors and the school nurse, my parents didn’t want me to see them, and that I should talk to them instead. But talking to my parents they don’t UNDERSTAND! 😞

  • Tried to talk to my parents about how being stressed with school makes me not want to do homework which leads me to leave it to the last minute which causes me more stress. They told me to develop my self discipline. I told them it wasn’t that simple but I didn’t know how to explain it. They told me it was and refused to validate my feelings of stress because it was my own fault for not studying or just doing my homework before the last minute.

  • I told one of my teachers that I’m self harming and I feel depressed all the time. I told her because I believed she won’t tell my parents. (I never wanted them to know because it was a bit because of them.) My teacher told the school counsellor so I had to talk to her (of course I didn’t want to). Like a week later the school counsellor told my form master and the principal. I had to talk with them, too. After another week later my form master told my mother. I taught she will be more upset but it wasn’t that bad. This was back in December. Now I have to go to psychologist once a week. Everything started to be fine but a month ago I started to have panic attacks.I told the teacher and my form master they told me to tell my psychologist so I told her and she taught me some ways to stop it but none of them works. So since my parents know everything just got worse than it was before. I’m not telling you not to tell. Those girls and boys who can talk to their parent are very lucky so please take that opportunity!

  • I talk to an older adult that I trust and love she is the most amazing supportive person! She’s going to school right now to be a nurse(I think) and so she asks questions that a nurse would ask when going through struggles like depression and anxiety! I strongly advise everyone to find a older adult they trust that they can talk to about their struggles

  • I’ve been in college (the sixth-form kind, not the uni kind) for a year and I went to the only teacher that I felt comfortable enough going to and he helped me arrange to go down to one of the counsellors. He even came down to the counsellor’s office with me the first time I went because we have the same free period, which made everything waaayy way easier. He’s also cool with me coming and knocking on the door to his office if I need to talk about stuff. If anyone has a teacher that they trust or like a lot then I definitely would recommend going to see that teacher because it does definitely help a lot.

  • Great article! Don’t forget too that there are other hotlines, like the one I volunteer for which is for sexual assault. It’s great for someone who is experiencing trauma, but may not be suicidal so they can call us instead (or in addition to) a suicide hotline. I can say with confidence everyone who works or volunteers at these places are amazing and so caring!

  • My mom works in mental health (she’s not a therapist or anything she does other stuff) and she’s really passionate about how important mental health is. She’s a really good mom, she always tries to listen and understand, but she struggles with herself a lot too. I have a hard time talking about stuff to her because I don’t want to make her feel bad. I have issues with guilt and failure and I know I get them from her, and I just can’t bear the thought of me making it worse for her. I hate making people worry, but I want them to know. I want her to understand. But it’s so hard for me to confront people. And, like me, her responses often have to do with her own mood. I wish I could just talk to her about everything. And I totally could. But I can’t. This makes no sense at all but I just can’t do it. I’ll just start crying and then I never get it out.

  • I’ve wanted to get diagnosed with bpd for awhile now, i’ve done my research and i’ve had many/basically all of the symptoms. I bring it up to my mom and she always says “why do you need to get diagnosed?” i said i needed closure, so i can grow and get myself the help i specifically need. she always says she trying her best but never really wants to do because she really doesn’t have the money for therapy. I know places and I tell her those places but she never does anything to get me an appointment. I never feel good, either mentally or pyshically.

  • when i suggested i see a doctor to my mom after months of going through so much without anyone knowing, she laughed and said “stop it, that’s gonna go on your college resume! we don’t want them thinking you’re a teenager who fakes mental illness.” i wish she knew how much that hurt me. in our household, asking for help and the topic of therapy is almost taboo. if you tell people you’re fine, you’re fine and that’s what i believed until very recently.

  • Hey Kati, I have been following you for about a year or so after leaving therapy because I moved out of state for college. This space you have created has helped me personally with my anxiety and depression as well as educationally it has given me a light at the end of the tunnel for my studies. I’m about halfway through my undergraduate studies and I have a background in psychology but I am pursuing neuroscience. I’d like to be a mental health advocate, like you, and help people globally as well as personally. YouTube is full of social articles about make up and article games and relationships and also full of educational articles, but it’s nice to see them mesh into the socially informative material you present that is so vital to our everyday lives. This platform feels revolutionary and I really look forward to the direction you are taking your website. Thank you for what you do, Claire

  • Great vid and just a random question Ive been wondering does anyone else experience that when someone gives you a compliment on how you look after recovering from an ED like “U look so healthy” or “wow ur getting color back to ur face” that it’s extremely triggering I know they mean well but I can’t help but feeling terrible whenever someone says stuff like… just me?

  • My parents pulled me from therapy, and when I expressed that I felt like cutting a few months later to my mother because i was scared of telling my dad, she got angry and not only accused me of making it up to get my therapist back, she also said “do you really have to do this right now?”. A month or two ago, I expressed that I was gender neutral, and it resulted in a huge blowup which made me spiral more. I’m really struggling with self harm etc and don’t know what to do, as I don’t feel comfortable going to my parents and asking for help. I was forced into homeschool because I had a kidney infection and was sick a lot of the time, and was struggling adjusting back into in person school after two years in isolation. Now I’m struggling with homeschool, and my parents have threatened to take everything except my bed and a couple blankets and maybe some clothes if I don’t catch up on months of school work in 7 classes within a month. I don’t feel safe even venting online, as they frequently look through my phone on all social media platforms to see if I’ve been “talking shit about them”, which is why they took away my therapist.

  • My mum is super Christian and has mental health issues and knows I do too but I tried to bring up the possibility of a different diagnosis and she claimed mental illnesses are from the devil and that by labeling myself that I was letting the devil into my life. It was really invalidating and hurtful.

  • Do you think if I talked to my friends about my problems, and it’s been happening more frequent lately, that I could be toxic and negative friend? They say they want to be there for me and everything and I very much appreciate it but am I being toxic by spreading all the negativity on to them when they’re struggling with things themselves?

  • For people in Canada: I’m with the Canadian Mental Health Association. CMHA is publicly funded, so it won’t be on your parent’s/parents’ insurance. Different branches have different services and programs, but I’m in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with CMHA, and they also considered putting me in Dual Diagnosis or Early Psychosis Intervention. You can start with them when you’re sixteen years old. You sign all sorts of forms to give the people at CMHA permission to only talk to certain people… I told them they can talk to my GP, my psychiatrist, and the staff at my school, but they aren’t allowed to talk to my mom because that is my choice.

  • I agree with friends being a great way to get support! I wanted to talk to my closest friend about what I was going through but I was still afraid of speaking up. I did tell her and she completely supports me and is always there if I ever just need to talk to someone. In fact we are closer in many ways now because we have both been able to confide in each other about various things and knows the other person is completely there for support. So if you are debating talking with a friend, definitely reach out to them. A true friend will support you. I also follow positive instagram and pinterest pages. I look for inspirational quotes and messages. Making collages from quotes is relaxing to me. P.S. Kati, that tshirt is awesome!

  • I have adhd… my dad said I’m making a conscious decision not to fight it (I was diagnosed when I was younger and still have issues to this day) being untreated for it sucks and I have a hard time focusing and/or getting out of my own head. Sometimes it takes whole chunks out of my day. I zone out for a second and a whole flipping hour passes!!! I’m planning on going to a doctor for it when I’m older.

  • Im almost 16 and i tried telling my mom but she just didn’t seem to give a damn.. these days my mental illness got worse and worse. I just can’t seem to like myself as i did before or appreciate myself about anything. I get a lot of stomach pain when im worried about the smallest thing and then i start to tremble feel dizzy and have a lot of negative thoughts and sometimes i even blackout. Someone told me that he experienced this type of stuff too and that they are panic attacks but i dont know if it is or not. And i have 2 people by my side my boyfriend and my best friend. And they always show me love and are awlays by my side but i feel like i can’t trust anyone and i had no friends for 11 years because everyone thought that im weird and i got a lot of bad comments about myself and i can barely appreciate myself. Sometimes i think about suicide but i can’t get any help because if i tell anyone about how i feel they are gonna feel bad about me and thats just gonna make me feel worse but im tired of feeling like this and it almost ruined my life. And i can’t stop thinking that everything it’s my fault. And i cant survive in public situations because i always start trembling and i start feeling dizzy. Please i need help i can’t survive this anymore.

  • i was in a argument with my mom and she kept saying i didn’t deserve anyone or anything and I’m a bad hateful selfish person i Uncontrollably started clawing my arms all she did was yell at me and grabbed my hand it hurts to hear your own mom say you’re a bad person and you shouldn’t deserve friends or family she even said i could talk to her anytime but when i say i can’t do that she makes me feel guilty about myself that i can’t talk to my mom but she continues to say things like that and threatens my pets and me after that fight i couldn’t stop crying and breathing quickly i kept clawing at my arms it was hard to stop i even started banging my head against the wall making my nose bleed so I’m just laying there on my bed covered in blood and tears while my parents act like everything is ok 🙁

  • Sometimes even with friends its hard to open up to, one of my friends suffers from depression already, feels like other friends just don’t have time for me, my best friend studies in another country and has her life to deal with, and I’m not a person that can open up easily (well online is easier in my case). I am an only child so its not like I have a big family to talk to, so emotion just builds up.

  • I lied when my parents got me tested a few times for ADHD and I’m pretty sure I have it and I feel like I’m going crazy, my grades are slipping and I have worsening anxiety and depression. I have crazy mood swings and I ALWAYS have to be moving. I hate telling people my problems because I feel like they are gonna say it’s not that bad. But I feel like I’m going insane and I can’t handle it anymore

  • Iam perusal this article in 6 years time, but it is so helpful 🙏🏿. Talked to my parents about my depression, anxiety and trauma they said I don’t have these I just have demonic spirits😔 it hurts I feel misunderstood a lot by peaple who were supposed to be there for me and support me. #teen_mentalhealth_matters🙌🏿

  • the fact that when my parents found out about my bad habits (self harm and bulimic tendencies) they were so rude and horrible about it, has made me scared to ever tell anybody in the future. i didn’t tell them about me, they caught me themselves and the reaction was horrible, i just don’t want to live through it again. the look of disgust

  • When I told my mother that I have suicidal thoughts and how I want help and I’ve been feeling like this for 2 years she yelled at me and got so mad at me and grounded me and it made it worse I told her I got better but I haven’t I went back to harming myself and I thank you so much for making this article I want to kick this and prove myself wrong but I’ve stopped and I’m doing better since of your articles and just writing it out and thinking of how I could fix it and distract my self

  • First off I just want to say that your articles are amazing and have helped me so much so please don’t stop making them! But too my point, I have an eating disorder and at my school we have to choose a sport to play for the rest of the year in which every Wednesday we verse other schools in the area. I chose the same sport as last year so I’m close to the teacher that coaches us. Last year it wasn’t really that bad but every month it’s gotten worse. The first game of the year I couldn’t even play for more than probably about 15 min without feeling like I was going to pass out and ever since then my teacher started asking me if I’d eaten that day and was hinting towards it, yesterday was the 3rd game of the year and I think I probably only lasted about 8 min without having to come off. While the others were playing she sat down next to me and started asking the same old questions but this time when she asked me if I’d eaten she handed me like this playing biscuit sort of thing wanting me to eat it but I didn’t and I could hear the worry in her voice and see it on her face but I just couldn’t bring myself to eat it. I want to tell her but I don’t know how and everytime I walk to the History staff room I end up turning back around because of my mind saying I can’t and if I do it’ll ruin everything, is there any way around that? Also sorry this was so long!

  • I totally isolated myself from my friends long b4 and now i have no one left… i told my parents that i need doctors help and that even i tried hanging once thats true but they told im exaggerating things and that they have already bigger issues to deal with and not to embarass them… they just wanted me toget married soon so that i feel better and bcom normal.. i have 0 friends no one to share my feelings….

  • Thank you so much for this article Kati! I’ve used childline UK quite a few times, and It can be either an instant chat or email situation and I’ve found this really helpful! I know if asked this a few times but I will try again anyway. I’m in CBT for emetophobia and although I know how it works and it’s success rate, I feel like I’m never going to be fully recovered. Is it normal to think like this? And is it normal for your therapist to say ” what’s the worst that can happen?” Because that makes me feel so much worse about what I fear.. Thank you xxx

  • Every article I watch seems to say the same thing. I’ve tried before to talk to my parents about my mental health and all they did was say that I was doing it for attention, and blame it on hormones. If I talk to my parents, they’ll get mad that I’m paranoid that something is wrong with me. (In my case, I think I may have Bipolar II) If I reach out to someone else to tell my parents for me, they’ll get mad that I didn’t talk to them about it first. My school is terrible with Counselors, teachers, and helping their students. Through all of my life, every Nurse, Counselor, or Teacher has only made any matters worse. The only thing that they were trained for it seems is drama and fights. Every time in the past where I’ve tried to seek help has only made the matter between me and my parents worse. I need more tips on telling my parents up front in a way that proves to them that I’m not speaking up for attention. I want to confront them soon, but do not know how.

  • I really need this because my mother has once laughed at my face for telling her that I was feeling suicidal and was started to think about it. Than proceeded to tell the rest of my family and the rest of my family and than they also laughed and they did stopped laughed till I actually tried harm myself and still now my mother doesn’t still fully believe me

  • I’m positive i have adhd. i told my mom but she doesn’t think it’d real and she just laughed at me. I’m ruining things for myself. I’m late for school everyday. I’m failing the seventh grade. And it’s not just affecting me. I’m bringing my friend down too cuz we;re working together. My mom has to go to court because of me. I kept thinking i had no way of help, perusal this article made me realize that my counselor can help. She’s cool and is a great talker. Im gonna ask her for help tomorrow.

  • I used to go to my school counselor to get things off my mind, and I thought they where pretty nice too! But my last visit to her had been the first visit of the school year and the summer before I had basically nothing to do and wound up turning from christian to atheist as I am a person who will chose logic over some dude in the sky that created all that we know. But as I turned atheist I got a severe fear of death as I had a very bad idea of what happened after we passed, so I went to her and told her that I went atheist to try and tell her about my fear. Long story short we got in quite the argument about god being real or not, and she even pulled out a bible, she kept saying ” I don’t mean to push my beliefs on you” but that is exactly what she was doing even going as far to say that atheists had no hope. She really should not have gotten the job at my school.

  • im arab. i have arab parents. and basically in my culture and the middle east rarely any child sees a therapist. its not like the american parents who sign up most of their kids for therapy. here if u tell someone “go try and seek therapy” its like ur telling them “wtf ur insane and a psychopath”. its bad. i have depression. anxiety disorders. im always stressed. i always mention killing myself. like a lot. like i wouldnt do it but yk the thought of it is pleasing. i cry a lot. life is like a cycle where i dont do anything bc j like it, but bc i have to. im only a freshman in high school, and all this started back in january 2023. im genuinely serious i need help. how do i talk to my parents about my issues? theyre literally gonna mock me bc we’re arab and they assume we’re all ok. but my mom has seen my self harm back in 2023, i said it was my cat, ive stopped, but maybe that can be a sign for her. i need to take action before i end up taking my own life bc of shit i coulda handled better. im here googling this at 1am on a school night.

  • I know this is going to sound like bad advice and I am all for people getting help in whatever ways they can but be EXTREMELY careful when talking about these things with teachers, school counselors, any school staff, i guess. I had a friend recently who was depressed, i mean really depressed connect the dots. Anyways, she told a teacher that she trusted, and the teacher had her switched out of that class. So my friend goes to the counselor and the principal, and nobody did anything. The literal only reason she got the help she needed and is still here today is because I convinced her to tell her parents. I’ve found that a lot of school really don’t care a lot when it comes to these things, maybe not most, but still be careful.

  • My Mom understands that therapy would be helpful to me and she wants me to do it I believe. Unfortunately I just know my Dad will think I’m being dramatic or joking. He doesn’t even believe mental issues exist. I clearly have an anxiety disorder but I HIGHLY doubt he’ll agree to therapy. He will think I’m dramatic and stupid. Actually one of my anxiety worries is that if my Mom dies. If she isn’t here, my Dad can’t help my emotional needs. It would be neglected. What should I do?

  • #katifaq hey! So ive been struggling a lot in life the past 2 or 3 years. Depression, self harm, ed, anxiety, ext. Over a year ago I reached out to get help, I had my first therapist give up on me, and am now struggling with the fact that my second therapist gave up on me along with my psychiatrist. I’m tired of trying and feeling as if I’m unfixable, I don’t know what else to do..

  • my mom knows that I have anxiety but she’s trying to convince me that I don’t, she’s comparing my mental issues to others who have it worse than me as her argument and that makes me feel like my problems Arnt valid, she made it very clear that I’m not going to therapy anytime soon, she said therapy is for people with severe mental problems I need help even my school counselor said that.. 🙁

  • I really want to know what’s wrong with me but don’t want to ask my parents, I don’t know what this is: •foggy brain( feels like there’s fog in my mind) • unable to concentrate • empty feeling •faking alot of emotions, can turn a fake charm on. It feels like somethings kind of blocking my emotions from coming out • isolate myself • feel detached sometimes That’s off the top of my head. I feel like this kind of happened without me realizing it. It feels like I’m a shell of what I used to be, and like I’m trying to be my old self, but at the same time I like how I am? I don’t know. I just want to figure out what I have and not get it treated. It’s kind of like a protection or shield from any one or anything hurting me.

  • In England we have childline where you can phone up, chat online to a counsellor or just look on forums and share you problems. However I feel there is only so much they can do for you and there are teachers at my school who I might talk to but I have had bad experiences with trusting teachers too much or trusting the wrong ones at my old school, so now I don’t have anyone to talk to and I just have to laugh off my issues and pretend they never happened/ are happening. It would be nice if you could help me out, I always feel that my problem isn’t as big as that “other girl’s problem” if you know what I mean. Also I am a 13 year old girl, and one time I was upset at hockey practice, my coach (a man who I’ve known for 3 years) came over and spoke to me… Is it ok to talk to him about my issues? Thanks Kati 😊

  • I’m ten. right now, you are my idol I look up to you. I’ve been seeking help for 2 months now, and I found out about you. I went onto your website to try and find people to talk to, but I need to give in my email. because of my dad, I cant access my email account and it all sends to his phone, I can’t vent to any friends because I don’t have any. My parents told me they suspected me with SPD since I was 5, but I think I’m depressed. I haven’t left my bed in 4 days on school holidays, I’ve been in the same jumper for 4 weeks and I’ve hard,y slept nor eaten. I need someone to talk to, so can you please respond to this. I look up to you, thank you.

  • My parents have not really been supportive, and are favoring my brother even when I have social anxiety, and tons of insecurities. I don’t tell them because I’m embarrassed. I feel like no one is on my side. My friends don’t understand and the only one I’ve known for a long time, is the reason for some of my anxiety.

  • i am in need of physical and mental help, and my parents have ignored me for years. i have an eye condition, i am in constant pain, i am depressed, i have anxiety, i have almost every single symptom of BPD, i have symptoms of autism and adhd, im suicidal, i struggle with self harm, and guess what? THEY KNOW. they know all of this and dont fucking care, they always make it about themselves and i am desperate for help, i am desperate to not feel like this anymore.

  • its really sad that commenting on a random youtube article helps me more than talking to my perents and when i tried to call one of my best friends or help they took my phone and hit me i just wanna kill myself and when i get a panick attack my mom says im faking it and laughs at me i need help but they make me feel like im the toxic and manipulative one

  • I’m 21 and I don’t have money and my parents don’t take me seriously even though they witnessed my mental breakdowns and tried their methods of bringing a shaykh to read Quran on me, didn’t work of course, got me to the hospital and they told them I had mental issues and needed to just “not think about bad stuff”, like, come on, how can you see your daughter having a panic attack and not listen to her when she tells you what could help her? But people where I live are fucking stupid, they don’t think mental health is important so my parents don’t either The breakdowns are few and far between and happen out of nowhere and each time it gets worse I wish I can finish college and get a job as soon as possible cuz I can’t rely on them to take care of me

  • My parents died when I was younger, I’ve had issues in the past.. I live with my uncle, I feel like I’m a crazy pshyco, and I don’t wanna be one I’m scared. I’m gonna tell you why, I don’t know what but there’s something in my head or somewhere in my body telling me to do something kinda mean or something else, and when I do it something wants me to do it 3 times.. Sometimes I can control it but sometimes I’m just completely another person, I’ve never done a (crime) I’d say but once I threw my cat out of the balcony and got it up and threw it again, it wasn’t that tall yet pure evil. It feels like I’m a monster, yet whenever I do it it gives me a little nice feeling unsure what it is. I’m scared if I open up, everyone will think I’m an moster like I am. I cannot contiue living like this, I need help please or any tips.. I don’t wanna be like this anymore.

  • #katifaq hi kati. Ive had bulimia for 15 years, half my life 🙁 i’m 30 and just feel like such an absolute loser for so many reasons pertaining to my ed but mostly because i haven’t been able to work for the past 6 years due to the endless binge/purging. Since i have only government assistance as income i have resorted to stealing binge food for years. i’ve been caught a few times and had to go through the court system (so embarrassing to be arrested for shop lifting cookies)…anyways my point is i feel like im the ONLY ONE who has sunk this low. Nobody i know with an ed shop lifts food (or they just don’t talk about it) and i was just wondering if this is actually very common or if i’m just the biggest monster…

  • i actually really want to get therapy, but since i am under the age of 18 years, i need my parent ‘s permission to do so. i ‘ve been struggling with loss and intimacy issues for a while ( a bit of gender dysphoria as well ). but i feel like they wouldn ‘t understand, whenever i ‘d even bother to open up to them they ‘d just tell me that it ‘s ” my fault ” and it ‘s ” my problem ” and just start scolding and shaming me for it which just made me feel worse about myself. it just made me more distant from my family members and more private and trust-issued. i just wan’t help, i just feel tired of everything. i don ‘t feel like doing this anymore. i know they ‘d care if i told them i wanted to die and basically everything else that has been going on, but i just don ’t know what to expect anymore.

  • My brother was diagnosed with adhd and autism, and ever since life has been so tricky.. everyday there are constant blowouts, and you feel like if you say anything out of place he’ll blow up. I can’t tell any of my teachers, because they will tell my parents, my parents don’t understand and life would just be awkward.. I constantly feel depressed and nothing can make me happy anymore. Has anyone got any tips??

  • My parents do not give me space, don’t ever consider anything I say when I try to tell them why they should let me do something, they think they’re always right, and when I tell them they should let me make my own choices and not make them for me they just say “that’s what being a parent is.” Today my mother got angry at me because I locked my door the reason I did was because I didn’t like how she always randomly busted in and didn’t even knock and intruded while I might have been doing something that requires my full attention. When I locked my door she told me to unlock it and I said no, after that she went to my dad and took me into his room and he said something I don’t remember then I told them they were manipulative and my mom looked at me weird and said “manipulative you think we’re manipulative?” Then I raised my voice cuz I was angry at them and told them they should give more freedom and let me have more fun and let me keep my phone in my room at night because it’s summer break and I had no school in a yelling tone because I was angry then my father yelled at me and said something like “don’t talk your mother like that I don’t care what u think we are the parents and u are not going to talk to us like that again” I need help I had thought I was fine until now am I relizing all their manipulative traits when I was young I thought they were good parents because I didn’t have a phone or any freinds to try to hang out with. I’m 12 years old. Do u have any advice.

  • Tumblr is a great community! -but unfortunately also very easy to come across triggering accounts. Anyhow, I found that following people who was into veganism, like my self, and just all about happiness was so so so helpful. These weren’t necessarily people who had recovered from a mental disorder themselves, but just people who wants nothing but being happy and spreading joy by sharing their knowledge and experiences – also, you meet people! I met my best friend from Brazil through tumblr like 5 years ago, and we basically have weekly vents. So yeah, I would definitely recommend joining some sort of community whether it be online, or like Kati mentioned; after school activities. -And then try and meet someone you feel like you could open up to. 🙂 (I apologize for my english)

  • There is a free community group for Eating Disorder and Body Image support in Santa Cruz, CA and also one in San Francisco, CA so that covers the entire Bay Area! If you live in SF, San Jose, Sacramento, etc.! You should come; it is a wonderful group that takes place every Sunday from 1-2:30 at the Lotus Collaborative (2 locations one in Santa Cruz, one in SF)!

  • Thank you. This is really helpful. I don’t want my mom to know because every time she doesn’t help me and she just tells me about her struggles and doesn’t help me. She also has been rude to me because I have a phobia of moths. It also gets really hard for me during the summer because my friends don’t talk to me because their all far away from home and doing things.

  • I told my mum just about self harm and showed her my scars didn’t told her my other struggles u know what she did or say she said if i do it again she would do it to and when i told her about my depression and that i needed help she started yelling on m for saying that i am depressed and she said i don’t need help its just normal teenage stuff. I don’t know i can pass my teenage im 15 and its getting worse.

  • I love my mom, but sometimes I really hate talking to her. Everytime I tell her about what I’m going through, she tells me to stop complaining, and that I have it so much better than other people so I should be thankful. No matter what I do she tells me that therapy is only for super mentally ill people and that I’m fine.

  • Before I watch this article, I want to know if this will work for me. I’m 10 years old and I just now realized I had severe anxiety. And I try to talk to my mom about it, and she just says it’s part of life. (And I know that, but it shouldn’t be this bad) i tried to talk to her again today, like 30 minutes ago and she started yelling at me saying “DON’T YOU THINK I KNOW, I’M AN ADULT! IVE HAD ANXIETY MY ENTIRE LIFE!!” and then I just walked out of the room trying not to cry. And I could tell my dad and his wife, but then he would call my mom and tell her. I forgot to say this, but I found out because my friend Vanessa told me she had severe anxiety as well. And she told me about this program she goes to called STRIDE and it really helps her. And when I told my mom about it, she thinks I’m lying about it just because Vanessa goes. And my school doesn’t have a counselor. Please help me! ☹️☹️

  • I’m terrified to tell my parents, the last time I opened up to my mom was because she forced me to and I don’t talk to anyone about it anymore because I feel like I can’t without feeling regret that it would affect them, and I feel like no one would listen. I’m terrified to tell adults mostly and it hurts when they just reason with my feelings and that I’m too young and that I’m just too sensitive, lately I have been doing my school work but everytime I do pass most on time I always get a negative comment from my mom no matter what I do and it made me start talking negatively about myself. How should I get help?

  • I once told my bestie/Cousin she told me and I quote, “YOUR A RICH WHITE KID YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BE DEPRESSED ABOUT” all tho I’m not rich and lived in in a tiny place with 4 other sibs most of my life and then we got in a better situation and I only have had toxic friends all my life one of my friends used to hit me when I was doing something he did not like …I’m also LGBTQ to and had to grow up at the age of 5 and I don’t remember much about my childhood but I do remember hiding from kids in dumpster and cleaning and puting makeup on my wounds form my toxic friends …….. I may not have it as bad as others but it’s still hurts..btw the bullying was from ages 4-11 all tho my family is the only reason I’ve chosen to live my sibs and parents mean the world to me

  • my friend said that my depression was my fault so I just don’t mention it to none of my friends cause they might tell on me cause they said that if I cut again they will tell if I do I just have to suck it up and deal with it myself I guess cause I’m scared my mom will get mad at me and etc… and she is dealing with so much already and my problems. but I’m scared what will happen I could just talk with a school councelior about it and just not mention my self harm addiction I’ve been clean for like 3 weeks and then I did it twice cause I am dealing with a lot I hate felling this way feeling that I can’t be happy like my friends so I just pretend to be happy so they don’t have to worry about me just like no one even does anyway. but your article is helpful thanks.

  • Im showing a lot of symptoms of anxiety and I had 2 hospital trips due to an anxiety attack in the past six months, yet my mom doesn’t want me to go to therapy cause she thinks if Im diagnosed with serious anxiety the meds I’ll be prescribed will interfere with my academic performance, which I’m also pretty worried about since I care about my grades and school, although I’m aware I need the help because I can tell I’m not getting any better.

  • When I try to tell my feelings or any Happy or sad moment it’s went so wrong in my house. I just thought that mental hospital best for me atleast I breathe freely and no one bother me I’m so lonely broken. No one around me to talk or hold my hands I become worst. They laugh on me hate me I just want to live like a normal person life but it’s impossible and no one with me I’m suffering from my past trauma but it’s nothing for them what I face and this matter still affected my life and ruins it’s..need help but no one for me

  • I think this is a slippery slip personally, I do believe that some children have issues that they need resolved that the parents will not help with. But isn’t being a parent still protected? What is my kid feels depressed, so the doctor gives him a bunch of antidepressants to take? And they end up causing more problems?

  • Ok so I can’t really trust my school counselor anymore. I used to go their when I was having anxiety attacks but my counselor always told me I was overreacting and that it was most likely my period bc I didn’t go in that often and I never looked like I was having one. They also called my mom bc of a story I was helping my friend write and threw away but they took it out and lied to my mother saying I was talking to random adults online. I don’t go to the councilors anymore thank God. I just go to the nurse instaed.

  • My parent’s got mad at me bc my mom and brother was making fun of me so, I kicked my brother and slapped him and then they were making fun of me for how I asked him to stop and my mom splashed water in my face and laughed at me then, I ran to my room and my parents tried to unlock my door and I was telling them ” no, let me have my privacy” They really think that I’m mentally stable with them saying they’ll take my door bc I won’t unlock it for they’re satisfaction??? Then my mom says that she’ll not bring me to the mall and will think I’d watch her show with her after she’s made me work my a$$ off and watch her child in the middle of school and get mad at me when I don’t completely work while perusal a 2 year old???? I’m being completely honest my mom has made me suicidal, depprested, have anxiety, and want to hurt myself.

  • Hey Kati, I am kind of new to your website, so sorry if this has been asked before. I looked all over the internet and couldn’t get a clear answer to my question and I think you will be a great person to help me out. I am a 28yo want to go into therapy for social anxiety, that I have a feeling steams from childhood trauma. My question to you is, I know you are a LMFT, (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), but what is different between the work you do and a LPC (a Licensed Professional Counselor ), and a Psychologist. From my understanding LMFT and LPC only have their Masters while Psychologist on the other hand have their Doctors. So I always assumed – and no disrespect to you – that seeing a Psychologist was the best way to get treatment, talking about your past, and are the only ones who can give a diagnoses, because they had to pass a board exam. While LMFT and LPC just dod exercises, talking about the future, and more or less new age stuff. So I was surprise when in your articles I saw you use the DSM. So can you please explain the difference between all three, in qualifications – if they differ state by state, I know for psychologist it’s “the american board psychologist” – how is their treatment different, and what would you suggest for someone like me, or who should you see and for what?

  • I know my problems are nothing compared to most so I don’t need reminding (it makes me feel worse) but I have so many insecurities and all that, I’m not going into detail, it just gets to me I’ve taken depression tests online and they all came with severe depression and I don’t know how to tell anyone. How else could you get help without anyone knowing? Please

  • I need ur help to move on. I’m a high school student n good in studying (always been a rank holder)n I got scolded by my teacher 2days ago without any reason n I cried alot till my eyes got swollen I didn’t go to school next day n I got to know that the teacher she was making of me in class n said things that I didn’t do to her I am trying to move on n trying to ignore whatever she said but it’s hard I can’t focus on my studies at all

  • I’ve tried talking to my parents, but they don’t care. All they say is “you don’t listen” “you should’ve listened” “it’s your fault” and “I can’t help you” and 1 of my parent calls me names like bitch and stuff…I just need someone to talk to and everyone who I’ve tried talking to either said don’t worry or forget abt it, but I can’t forget abt this shit, like no one, ever understands me at all I literally get blamed for everything I get yelled at and I get hit sometimes… had this one time where they tried choking me…but yeah I’ve tried talking to everyone and I just get blamed…stuff happened and I tried dealing with it on my own but I just couldn’t take it anymore I sometimes feel like killing myself but I’m scared to die. I got laughed at for opening up to my parent. I have mental issues and they don’t believe me all they tell me is that these phones and computers and fooling kids like I’m literally using YouTube to help me out with my mental illnesses. all they study abt is how rude I am or I’m disrespectful bc im not feeling okay or I’m talking back bc I’m answering their questions.

  • I have a question for any who think the same: if you and/ or your sibling have a problem not like mental issue or something but just beef that you should be able to go to your parents for only to be told you need professional help; no offense to professionals out there but I think that if a child or rather teenager or young adult is having a problem and you want to got to your parents with it but they don’t level with you, they don’t want to look at the issue from your perspective and try to understand instead they give a biased answer. I have had that problem with my dad and step mom for sometime and not always with me but my other siblings and the adults don’t think they should try to understand why their kids who think or act a certain way and say “stop or else (insert punishment here)” I know maybe it’s just me but I feel like kids should be able to sit down with there parents and talk whole heartedly and the parental units understand because they went through the same or similar problem when they were young reply if you would like to answer and respond or give your to sense it is always appreciated

  • Wow… I felt a bit old perusal this… but my parents were never and still aren’t a support system. Sad thing for me to say is that once past a certain age… Friends don’t have the same free time carelessness, patience, availability as we do in our young 20s. Result: ive got no friend support system. I can’t call a new mom friend at 2 am. Im turning 30, been struggling with the same for over 10 years, and truth is… People get tired of it. And that only allows for self-worth to crumble. I have my therapist. But i pay for someone to care. Good for self-worth as well. 🙁

  • When I tried asking my mom to go to the doctors for a adhd test she talked before I could ask and my dad thinks I may have it and I also think I have adhd but they won’t take me and I’m scared to talk to a school counselor or teacher because I think they will talk to my parents about that if I tell them.

  • #katifaq What are your thoughts on the Maudsley method? It seems to be the only treatment that stands up over time in clinical trials, for example one study showed a 90% success rate five years after treatment had finished. That is unheard of in ED treatment. So I was wondering what you think of it…

  • I have Anxiety, social anxiety and get anxiety attacks. I am transgender and have a psychologist one of my old psychologist got a job in a different building. I have another psychologist but every time i see them my mum is there. I don’t know how to ask for her to go away or let me see my other psychologist.

  • My mom is that person that just thinks that their child is confused when they say something serious so whenever I try to say something she’ll say That Idon’t know what I’m talking about. Every time she says this I get more and more socially anxious and it prevents me from talking to people for help. So what would I do?

  • Sadly none of these options would work for me the groups thing I have tried twice and just ended up getting fake friends who pretended to be my friend. And my school dosnt have a concealer and all my friends are online which I’m not supost to have online friends or even be on any kind of social media and I’m stuck at home unless someone has to take me with them. I just wish I had someone I was able to talk to that could acsully help me, now I’m ok for the most part I’m just tired of feeling depressed is all.

  • I’m 15 and i don’t want to live with my parents anymore, i feel uncomfortable every second of being in “my” house. the last 14 months I’ve been thinking to move out and i tell them but they laugh at me and i get angry and they laugh harder… Please Tell Me How to explain them because i want to move out or even get foster parents in another country because even the feeling that i live in Greece In a country that a war can occur in a snap of a second makes me think of ending it all…

  • I do need a therapist. But at first I don’t know hoe to tell my dad, and as next I wouldn’t know what to say to my therapist. I mean what should I say!? My life is just to hard for staying in my situation. I don’t have friends, I never had a boyfriend and also my parents are only there, they don’t care about me. And yes, that’s true, bacause they said it themselves. But I think I don’t have a hardcore depression or am suicidal. I always think if I call a therapist, they would laugh about me an if they would give me a therapist, someone else kills themself because they didn’t got one… I’m also scared that my therapist would tell all my secrets to my parents. I would rather be dead. What should I do? Please help me…

  • its summer and my school is a private christain school that i go to so they don’t tend to have all the help resources she was talking about. Also, christian schools don’t tend to be supportive of lgbtq children so its not like i can talk to a school counselor even if i tried. I also don’t really have many friends and i am afraid to ask them how to get help with my internalized homophobia and my parents think gayness is a fad and that it isn’t genuine. What should i do? ps. my parents also search my phone, texts and all the electronics so it is often difficult to find time to get online support without my parents knowing. I am using an account my parents don’t know I made rn.

  • I live on Long Island, And we have 3 or 4 places here called LIGALY. Long Island Gay And Lesbian Youth. Its a safe place where you can go everyday. Parents will not know that your there. They have unmarked vans to pick you up if you dont have a ride there. They have doctors for hiv testing or psychologists to talk about whats going on. Its completely confidential. They wont call your parents.

  • Guys I’m only 11 and I NEED help 😭 My brain feels so broken and I haven’t been acting like myself I need to talk to someone about it 😭💔 Im literally just feel like my brain is broken. It’s not working with me and I hate it 😭💔💔 But if I talk to someone about it they wouldn’t understand and they’ll think I’m insane..

  • All of your articles have helped a lot thank you! #katifaq I have a main issue. I’ve been dealing with anorexia and purging when I do have to eat for 11 years now..(Started in 4th grade) I’ve never got professional help. I’m scared to death, because when confronted with the problem I can mask it and make it seem like it never existed which makes it difficult to accept help. I have reached out to a teacher I had in high school who helped me throughout those 4 years before. Question is I went against myself to get help and when I get close enough I back off from fear of getting better….I feel really bad for her trying to help me and she always responds, “If you don’t want help, then I’m not sure what you want from me.” (I feel like its a step closer to help, but she makes me feel guilty and it makes my ED worse..so I back off from help and get worse) How can I get myself on that level of wanting help? I know we have to want to get help for ourselves. It’s just so difficult. Please help ***** Thanks!

  • i can’t bring myself to even look at my own mom after her sacrifices and what she’s been through…. but she doesn’t even let me set boundaries she has my messenger account goes to it without my permission got me an ipad with her apple id i can’t save photo’s i like because she will see it or she will get mad that im wasting storage i want to save photo’s i want to learn how to edit i want to talk to my best friend without the feeling of fear of my own mother seeing every single text that i make is going to be red im only living because of my girlfriend (best friend) she does’nt even know that.

  • Yeah I would go to your website but my mom has a vpn on my devices because I don’t do my schoolwork like I need to. I could never get myself to do anything like drawing, which has always been my favorite thing to do since I could pick up a pencil, or simply just take care of my hygiene. If I look it up, she’ll see the website and if she clicks on it, she’ll know I suspect I have depression. I don’t want to get my parents involved, because last time this happened with me having been caught with cuts on my wrists, my mom made a horrified and saddened face. That face haunts me and has haunted me for years and I don’t want to have to see it again.

  • Man, i really want to, and i can but i just dont have the courage… I just worry how they’re gonna react etc. I’ve done it before but they misunderstood it as another issue (probably cus i also misunderstood it) and like i just cant do it verbally…, i have the courage to do it right now but when i actually want to do it i just lose all my courage pls help

  • I don’t want to sound paranoid or something, but with 3 & 4, I think that can be quite risky, as obviously some people take positions where they are working with children or young people for ulterior motives, and they will target people who are vulnerable and especially people who don’t have a close relationship with their parents, so if someone was to be unlucky enough to open up to a predator teacher/coach or whatever, and that predator knows that they are the only person that the young person can reach out too, it could easily open them up to sexual abuse. Obviously not everyone who works with young people is like that, but there are some, and I think going to katimorton.com or a suicide helpline is much safer. It’s just abusers target people who are vulnerable and people they don’t think will talk about their abuse, and being a shoulder to cry on is just the perfect in for a predator. I’m not trying to be negative, but a lot of this abuse goes on and doesn’t get spoken about for years, because these people pick their prey based on the two sets of criteria i’ve laid out, and I think people who don’t want to tell their parents they are depressed or have an eating disorder, or whatever the problem might be, are definitely the type of person who wouldn’t say a word about sexual abuse, and a predator will know that, the kind of person who will find this article helpful, is exactly the kind of person a sexual abuser is looking for, unfortunately that is the world we live in. I know I probably sound very negative or untrustworthy, but I just couldn’t not leave this comment.

  • this is kinda long but hear me out. Please. So i have been really depressed for a while and i didn’t really realize it until a few months/weeks ago when i was taking a bath, the way i found out i was depressed and not just sad is while i was in the bath i thought “what if i just kill myself, right now, in this bathtub, what if i just drown… sure it would hurt for a little but then it would all be over, then i wouldn’t have to do this anymore” i went under the water for a few seconds but then once a new song started (i was listening to music) i heard it under the water and came up realizing what had happened, and at that moment i realized the extent of my depression i had hurt myself before, not cutting but just hitting, pinching, biting, pulling hair, etc. but it wasn’t until that moment that i knew. I got out of the bath immediately because i was afraid i would do something to myself, i was ashamed at having such selfish terrible thoughts, im scared and i need help but i cant tell my mom anything! She already has to much to deal with, my older brother went to jail, and my 2 older sisters already go to therapy because of Depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and actions, and i just don’t want her to think she screwed up another kid because she will only get mad. She is part of the problem, she makes me feel bad about myself, and shes mean, and neglectful, there are so many more things but i wont get into those. I just moved out of the house that i lived in for 13+ years to a smaller one in a cramped neighborhood where there aren’t even any trees, most of the people who live here are new couples who just got married, there is no one my age in this neighborhood and on top of that im homeschooled.
