Botania is a Minecraft mod that focuses on natural magic and creating magical equipment using Mana and flowers. It is fully playable as a standalone mod, and can turn books and quills into name tags via alchemy. The name tag can be renamed in an Anvil and used to rename any mob (except the Ender Dragon) by right-clicking.

For a moderate sum of Mana, the Labellia picks up Name Tags dropped on top of it and uses them to name nearby items and mobs within a 5×5 radius.
The Alchemy Catalyst is a block added by Botania, which is used to provide certain items with a secondary transformation when tossed into a Mana Pool at the cost of. There are two types of flora: functional and mystical. Botania allows players to craft Name Tags as a Mana Infusion Recipe, but it’s not a super common feature.
In addition to Botania, there are other mods that offer ways to get Name Tags, such as Sapientia Avitus, which is available on Curseforge for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1. These mods offer more storage, halls of chests, and more options for crafting and farming.
