How To Take Good Care Of A Hanging Plant?

Chandelier plants, also known as the mother of thousands, are hardy succulents that thrive in hot, dry conditions. They can grow anywhere and survive harsh conditions, even growing through concrete. To care for these plants, it is essential to choose a sunny spot with full or partial sun, and avoid direct afternoon sun.

Kalanchoe Delagoensis, also known as the chandelier plant, has fleshy leaves and large pendant flowers. Moist air is crucial for flowering, and chandelier plants require full to partial sunlight for six hours or more. When growing outdoors, choose a planting location that receives full or partial sunlight.

Chandelier plants should be repotted after they double in size or once a year, whichever comes first. Fresh potting soil with all necessary nutrients is recommended. Chandelier plant care often includes removing small plants that have jumped from the container into the ground or another pot.

To maintain optimal moisture levels, water your plant every two weeks. Before watering, feel the top 2-3 cm (1 inch) of the soil and place it in a well-draining container with drainage holes. Provide protection from strong winds and move the plant when needed.

Fertilize your Chandelier Plant once a month during spring and summer using a cactus fertilizer, and every 30 days during the flowering period. The ratio should change to 2:1:4 or 3:1:4 during the flowering period.
