How do you water plants in space?
NASA has developed a plant growth unit called PONDS, which uses a passive system to water plants in space. The unit, which is entirely passive, has no electricity, pumps, or moving parts. It uses a free-standing reservoir of water that plants can draw from when needed, reducing the time astronauts spend watering plants during growth intervals. The reservoir holds 400 ml, or 13. 5 ounces, and allows astronauts to go a week or more before needing to water smaller plants again.
The PONDS system has been tested in microgravity, with the first two attempts causing issues with water delivery. The third attempt is expected to be just right, and the team is currently in the fine-tuning phase to ensure the system works effectively for larger plants.
How do I water my plants?
To ensure optimal plant health, use watering wands, drip irrigation, or soaker hoses to direct water to the root zone. Watering early or late in the day minimizes moisture loss from soil surface evaporation. Shield plants from wind to reduce moisture loss. Plants require oxygen as much as water, so it’s best to let the soil surface dry between waterings, especially with container plants. Water deeply and less frequently. Allowing soil to get too dry can damage fine root hairs, reducing energy for flower and fruit production.
How do you water plants on Sims?
A crop must be watered and weeded daily after planting, with a single “Tend Garden” command allowing for all crops to be watered and weeded. This saves in-game time and time, but may take a few clicks. Once a crop is ready for harvest, it will light up and can be harvested individually or as a whole. The “Harvest” and “Harvest All” commands are necessary even at Level 7. Sims can also take cuttings from plants and graft them onto others, converting one plant into another, allowing access to new crops. These new crops can be replanted without additional graftings.
How do I make my plant self water?
A rudimentary self-watering system can be constructed using a water bottle by removing the bottom portion, creating an opening in the cap with a skewer, and then inserting the bottle into a standard pot or planter.
How is water available in space?
Up to 80 percent of the water on the International Space Station is recycled, as astronauts work 400 km above the planet. This is due to the high energy required to propel water into space, which is dense and heavy. As a result, astronauts only use wet-wipes for six months to wash themselves. This is one reason why there is no shower on the station, as astronauts miss fresh fruit and a shower from Earth.
As space exploration becomes more challenging, providing water and food to astronauts will become more challenging. To address this, off-world explorers and their space agencies are focusing on reducing, reusing, and recycling, similar to how they do on Earth.

Oxygenating plants should be planted in moist soil in their own pots. An 8″ pot can accommodate 1 bag of plants. Remove cuttings from the mesh bag, tuck half the stem into the soil, and bury the root system. Leave the soil level 1″ below the top and fill the remaining space with gravel. Soak the soil with pond water to prevent muddying. Place pots directly on the bottom of the pond between lily tubs. Hornwort floats in the pond.

I have a ss if anyone wants to see. Edit: I thought this was kind of important because I was under the impression that you could only have 6 kids. I might be wrong.
