How Do Automated Vents For Greenhouses Operate?

Solar-powered automatic roof vent openers are a type of greenhouse vent that regulates the temperature inside a greenhouse. These devices work on contraction and expansion, pushing the roof vent open when the wax is warm. Automatic greenhouse vents, also known as autovents, are designed to open and close automatically. They are essentially a greenhouse vent with a metal piston attached to it.

Technological advancements have enabled control of the environment inside a greenhouse using automated systems equipped with interconnected sensors, programmable controls, and other advanced features. Greenhouse auto vents work by containing a strong metal tube containing a mineral wax that expands with heat, pushing a piston which opens the auto vent via a balanced linkage.
