My daughter and I have been singing the first few lines of this song to our dog for years when inviting him up on the bed. Just one of those oddball things you do with your pets, you know? Today I realized that my kid had never heard the whole song, so here I am… I’m proud to say she likes it too! Now I’m off to introduce her to “Back to the Hotel” by n2deep… I think I’ll wait a few years before I have her listen to 2 Live Crew!
My husband saw a girl with short shorts today and I reminded him they were called Daisy Dukes. Of course, this was the first thing (other than the character) that popped in my head. This came out around the time I graduated high school. Man… I feel old… especially because it’s been a LONG time since I had a figure that could wear Daisy Dukes 😕
I was 17 years old and moved to Jacksonville FL from Connecticut when this song became a southern hit. I went from listening to RonG mix tapes and DJ doowop to southern booty shakin hip hop music, lol. And let me tell you I fucking love it!!!!!!! The clubs in Jacksonville was off the hook and much different then the north. I was there the year the Jacksonville Jaguars became a NFL team. #SheikBigBurgers #WhoopThereItIs #TheLanding #Jaguars #GatorBowl
Anybody know when this rap came out, because for some reason I could of sworn an original first jam titled something with daisy dukes in the title came out in the early, early,90’s, I just can’t recall 100%, but I’m sure this isn’t thee original jam about daisy dukes, plus I think it was spelled “Daisy Duks” cause I remember saying it’s spelled duks, pronounced ducks,, not dukes. Hmm? I’m a bit confused, but then I’m old school, I’m almost turning 48 in October ya know. I’m a die hard 80’s and early 90’s hip hop rap lover. I just feel that was the best time Hip-,-hop was da shiz!
