Bee Houses can produce unique types of honey when placed within 5 tiles in any cardinal direction of a blooming flower, with the closest flower being the most productive. However, they cannot grow giant crops in the greenhouse. To maximize space and efficiency, players can use Iridium Sprinklers to cover the tillable soil, eliminating the need to water each square.
To unlock the Greenhouse, players must complete all bundles in the Pantry, including Spring Crops Bundle, Summer Crops Bundle, Fall Crops Bundle, and Quality Crops. Placing bee houses inside the greenhouse works, but they will not produce wild or flower honey. Bee houses can be placed anywhere on Stardew Valley or Ginger Island, but they cannot produce honey indoors.
Bee houses can be placed indoors, such as in the greenhouse, but will not produce honey there. Bee houses placed outside the farm will produce wild honey every ≈4 days. One of the most profitable money-making strategies in Stardew Valley involves making bee houses from maple syrup and planting flowers near them. Bee houses can also be placed indoors, but they are not capable of producing honey.
In summary, bee houses can be placed in various locations, but they cannot produce honey indoors. To maximize space and efficiency, players should consider using Iridium Sprinklers to cover the tillable soil and complete bundles in the Pantry.

It is not possible to produce honey indoors using bee houses, including greenhouses. In order to obtain honey, it is necessary to maintain the bee houses in an outdoor setting, including Ginger Island. The profitability of flower honey is greater than that of wild honey.

Can you put a beehive in a greenhouse?
Honeybees are not suitable for greenhouses due to their seasonal temperature fluctuations and territorial behavior. They form a cluster, eat honey, and keep each other warm by flexing their thorax muscles. They form a cluster when the outside temperature is 64°F or lower, and the colony begins to flex their muscles when the outside temperature hits 23°F. As the temperature gets colder, the hive becomes more compact, and as it gets warmer, they expand.
When temperatures get above 65°F, they take “cleansing flights” to eliminate waste. The core of the cluster in the middle of winter should be around 95°F but no lower than 55°F, otherwise the colony will die.
Leafcutter bees and Bumblebees are better candidates for greenhouse pollination due to their ability to stay close by and be more efficient. Leafcutter bees are easy to keep and require the right kind of plant leaves, such as peas, lilacs, roses, or Virginia Creeper plants. Bumblebees are also a good option for greenhouse pollination, especially for Nightshade plants like tomatoes or eggplants. Although not as easy to raise, they are still a great option for greenhouses with many Nightshade plants.
What is the most profitable Greenhouse crop in Stardew Valley?
Star Fruit is a summer-exclusive crop in Stardew Valley that can be turned into Wine to increase its base value. It sells for 750 to 1, 500 gold pieces, depending on rarity. However, it has a 13-day growth time before harvesting. Ancient Fruit is another excellent crop in Stardew Valley, especially when placed in a greenhouse. It doesn’t have seasonal growth restrictions and can be planted outside during most seasons except winter. Each plant matures every seven days, but it takes 16 days to reach harvestable state.
However, the 550 to 1, 100 gold pieces earned from selling one Ancient Fruit make up for its long growth time. Coffee Beans are Spring and Summer-exclusive crops in Stardew Valley, with a 2-day regrowth time. They can be harvested for 225 to 450 gold pieces per plant, and players can choose to plant the harvested item instead of selling it, reducing farming costs.
Can anything grow in the greenhouse Stardew?
A greenhouse can accommodate all crops, including Bee Houses and Giant Crops. Fruit Trees thrive in greenhouses, as they can grow on farmable land or on the tiled edges of the greenhouse. To ensure fruit trees grow, avoid placing decorations or paths where they want to grow and space them at least two spaces apart, ensuring each tree sits in the center of its own 3×3 square of land. Giant Crops and Bee Houses may not produce honey in a greenhouse.

Where is best to put beehive?
To ensure a strong honey bee hive, it’s crucial to provide ample sunlight, align the hive to the Southeast, create a wind barrier, place the hive near food and water sources, aim for dry ground, avoid hills and valleys, and use a hive stand. The location of your beehive apiary depends on factors like tree coverage, location on a hill, and the amount of rain-soaked soil in your yard. These factors can significantly impact the health and strength of your honey bee hive.
Does honey work in the greenhouse stardew?
Bee Houses are used to produce honey on farms during any season except winter, waiting for four nights. They can be placed indoors or outside the farm, producing wild honey every four days. A fully-grown and unharvested flower within five tiles of a Bee House produces flower honey, which sells for more than flowerless wild honey. Foraged flowers like Crocus and Sweet Pea do not affect the honey, and Dandelion or Daffodil are classified as forage.
The type of honey is established when the honey is harvested. If a Bee House produces flower honey before the honey, it becomes wild honey, while if it produces flowerless wild honey after a flower blooms, it becomes flower honey.
📹 The Most Important Layouts In Stardew Valley For Ultimate Efficiency
In this video I will showing you the most optimal layouts for all of the most important things in stardew valley. From Bee houses, to …
Something I only just learned, you can put Deluxe Retaining Soil on plants at ANY level of growth, not just at planting. I’m removing my sprinklers from the greenhouse altogether. If I had an efficient means of gathering clay, I’d probably remove all sprinklers from Ginger Island too for maximum growth.
I don’t think you get a basement for each cabin. As far as I’m aware, that last upgrade is simply not available for the cabins, only for the host. Also, an idea for modders: the ‘Automate’ mod basically allows you to fill up every space completely. Place a keg on every empty space inside of the shed and a chest right inside the doorway, and the kegs and chest will interact automatically to turn any fruit you put in the kegs into wine without you needing to go keg by keg. Works with all machines.
So for maximal efficiency/least work do we build deluxe barns and fill them with ostrich & crystalariums? I love Auto-Grabbers since they are like a long-term investment and you barely have to do any work. I know pigs are more profitable but it’s a pain in the ass compared to the Auto-Grabber. Kegs you have to refill so crystalariums win every time for me.
